SSS Cuddly Critters

Hello crafty friends!
Today I’m just popping in to show you a cute birthday card with a newly released SSS Cuddly Critters & Cuddly Critters Accessories stamp sets.
YoonsunHur-20160426-SSS-001There’s nothing like a balloon for creating a happy birthday card and I especially love the heart-shaped balloon in the Cuddly Critters Accessories set!!

To create this card, I 1) Masked off the balloons and clustered them together at the top half of the watercolour paper panel. 2) Stamped other accessories around a bunch of balloons in VersaFine Pigment Ink Onyx Black as well. 3) Watercoloured them with Distress markers. For a detailed list of the supplies I used, please see the supply list at the end of this post. 4) Stamped the panda and bird on a separate watercolour paper in VersaFine Onyx Black, then coloured them with Distress markers before die cutting with the matching dies – I stamped the panda three times using a Mini MISTI tool. 5) Mounted all elements as shown to A2 white card base using dimensional foam tape. 6) Embellished with the PPP sequins.
YoonsunHur-20160426-SSS-002 Don’t you want to fly in the sky by grabbing on to a bunch of balloons?!!

That’s it for today. Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy crafting!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!

SSS My Favorite Release Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends, welcome to the Simon Says Stamp My Favorite Release Blog Hop!!
SSS-MyFavorite-BlogHop-BannerSimon Says Stamp released jam-packed full of fabulous products – so adorable cuddly critters, the beautiful flowers, and the bicycle! You will say that they are all your favourites!!

YoonsunHur-20160422-SSS-A001For my first card, I made a watercolour floral wreath card with my Wild Beauty stamp set. First I traced a circle on the centre of the watercolour paper panel very lightly with a pencil. I then stamped the flowers and leaves around the circle with several colours of Distress ink – I used second generation stamping technique. I then brushed the stamped images with water using waterbrush. For the sentiment in the circle frame, I used the Big Scripty Greetings stamp set.

YoonsunHur-20160422-SSS-B001I just couldn’t resist another play with the flower stamps. I randomly stamped the flowers and leaves from Sketch Ranunculus and Wild Beauty sets on the bottom portion of the watercolour panel using VersaMark Embossing ink, then heat embossed with Hero Arts White embossing powder. I then loosely coloured them with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor. I die cut the word “Faith” from the watercoloured panel using Painted Faith die and then mounted it using dimensional foam tape.

YoonsunHur-20160422-SSS-C001For my last card today, I used the new Beautiful Ride stamp set. Oh, I love that bicycle so much. Isn’t it wonderful?!! For the background, I randomly stamped the bicycle and flowers onto the Ivory card base using Stone hybrid ink, then added some dark shading with a Copic marker C1. And then I stamped the bicycle and other accessories on a separate watercolour paper using VersaFine Pigment Ink Onyx Black, coloured it with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor, then die cut it with Beautiful Ride dies.

SSS Spring To You

Hello crafty friends!
Spring is in the air. Flowers will be in full bloom, and spring rains will refresh us! So today I want to share with you my spring themed card with Abby’s Spring Showers stamp set.
SSS-AbbysSpringShowers
Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20160409-SSS-001To create this card, I stamped the umbrellas from Abby’s Spring Showers set onto watercolour paper panel using VersaFine Pigment Ink Onyx Black – I masked off the umbrellas and clustered them together at the bottom of the panel. I then coloured them with Peerless watercolors using Tim Holtz Detailer Waterbrush. I coloured the background with Tumbled Glass Distress ink using a wet paint brush, added some white ink splatters. Next, I masked off the light blue coloured umbrella and then stamped raindrops, Falling Backgrounds stamp set, over it using Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I mounted the watercoloured panel on A2 white card base using double-sided tape. For the sentiment, I stamped the word “SPRING!” from Abby’s Spring Showers set in pigment black, then “TO YOU” from Big Add Ons set on black card stock using VersaMark Embossing ink, white heat embossed.
