SSS Yay You Release Blog Hop – Day 1

Hello crafty friends, happy Thursday!
Welcome to Day 1 of the Simon Says Stamp Yay You Release Blog Hop. I’m so happy to be a part of this awesome blog hop! If you arrived here from super talented Cheiron Brandon’s blog you are on the right track.

For my first card, I’m featuring brand new Arched Greens Background stamp & Happily Ever After dies.

I started by making floral background with the Arched Greens Background stamp. I heat embossed floral images onto watercolour paper using white embossing powder, ink blended the stamped paper with Worn Lipstick, Tattered Rose and Scattered Straw Distress inks, and then trimmed it down with A2 sized Basic Rectangle Panel die.

I die cut the word “Happily Ever After” from thick white cardstock, shadow from vellum paper, and then glued them together. I mounted the floral panel on white card base using Dot Runner Adhesive, added the sentiment die cut on the centre of the card using foam tape, and then decorated the sentiment with tiny butterflies and wedding ring.

For my second card for the hop, I used the new Arches stencil along with other SSS products.

I made 4 different coloured Arches pattern stripes – applied Distress inks over the stencil, then cut each stripe using the largest sized stripes die in the Strips 2 die set. I also die cut thin stripes from Matte Silver Mirror cardstock using the Strips 1 die set. I adhered all stripes on the Woodgrain White card base as shown in the picture.

For the centre of the card, I added Etched Delicate Frond & black sentiment banner using foam tape.

Altenew: Kraft Wedding Card

Hello crafty friends, happy Monday!
Today I have a wedding card to share with you using so gorgeous Altenew Leafy Garland die and the Caps Bold Alphabet die set. With these two die sets, we can easily make an elegant wedding card within 10 minutes!!
To create the card, I die cut the Leafy Garland from white card stock 4 times and then die cut the letter “A” from glitter gold card stock. The beautiful bride’s name is Amy so I used the letter “A”.
I adhered the white leafy garland die cuts on kraft card base using Altenew glue tape & foam tape. I then added the Altenew Fenstone Decorative Element and the letter “A”, as shown in the picture, using foam tape. To add a bit more colour, I decorated the card with hot pink enamel dots. Easy peasy, right?!

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Hello crafty friends, I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
It’s that time of year again: wedding season!! So today I want to share with you my floral wedding cards with the Simon Says Stamp products.
YoonsunHur-20160612-SSS-Both
YoonsunHur-20160612-SSS-A001For my first card, I created my own floral background with the SSS & Altenew Layered Flowers and Lovely Spring stamp sets. I randomly stamped the flowers and leaves on white paper panel using Altenew dye inks:
Large flowers: (from lighter to darker) RougeVelvet, Crimson
Small flowers: Warm Sunshine, Peach Perfect, Cotton Candy, Velvet
Leaves: (from lighter to darker) Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Evergreen
Floral wreath: Warm Sunshine
Tiny flowers: Deep Iris
Next, I die cut a separate white card stock using the Wavy Scallop Stitches Dies and then stamped the sentiment from the Congratulations set in VersaFine Onyx Black. I mounted the floral background on an A2 sized white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added the sentiment panel at the bottom of it using dimensional foam tape.

Hello crafty friends, happy Thursday!

YoonsunHur-20160609-CBesotted-001CBesotted-ToHave-ToHoldThe wedding season is in full swing and the cards with these outlined lilies & sentiments can make all beautiful June brides so happy!!
YoonsunHur-20160609-CBesotted-002To create the card, I randomly stamped the flowers from the To Have & To Hold set on white paper panel using SSS Fog Gray dye ink. Next, I stamped the lilies on a separate watercolour paper using Tattered Rose Distress ink, coloured them with Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, and Festive Berries Distress inks using waterbrush – I used no-line watercoloring technique. I added the Perfect Pearls Mist all over the coloured panel. Once dry the panel, I stamped the sentiment with VersaFine Onyx Black. For the pink scallop frame, I die cut the frame from white card stock using the PPP Scallop Frames Dies, then inked it with Worn Lipstick Distress ink using a mini ink blending tool. Finally, I mounted all elements as shown to A2 white card base using dimensional foam tape, then embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.

Sparkle and Shine

Hello folks, just want to share my cards I made using Wplus9 ‘Sparkle & Shine’ stamp set. Wow!! hand-written sentiments inside the set is beautiful and gem images are really gorgeous. I am so in love with this set and can’t wait to play with it!

Here is my first card:
20141219-01I stamped the sentiment on the middle of the white paper panel in VersaFine ink Onyx Black and heat embossed it in clear. I then heat embossed the largest gem images in white around the sentiment area. Lastly I sponged onto the panel in Distress ink Picked Raspberry using mini blending tool and spritzed water here and there. Some sequins were the finishing touches.
