SSS STAMPtemberĀ® 2023 Blog Party!!

Hello crafty friends, happy STAMPtember 2023!
Can you believe fall is already everywhere (not in Australia, though)? As many of you already know, September is the best month for cardmaking and even we have the month-long STAMPtember festival! Today we have a huge STAMPtember Party with lots and lots of super talented card makers. I am SO SUPER excited and honoured to be a part of this awesome party. YAY!!

I made a couple of butterfly cards for this amazing party today! I used brand new Layered Cosmic Butterfly die, Intersection Lines Background stamp and Cue the Confetti stamp set.

For my first card, I made a butterfly birthday card. For the background panel, I heat embossed Intersection Lines Background on watercolour paper panel with white embossing powder, lightly applied some pale coloured distress inks (Tattered Rose, Antique Linen, Tea Dye). For the butterflies, I die cut two butterfly sets from white cardstock using the Layered Cosmic Butterfly die, blended them with warm coloured Pawsitively Saturated inks as below:
Pink butterfly: Rose & Sherbet / Purple butterfly: Citrine & Amethyst.
For the sentiment, I used the Cue the Confetti stamp set.

Here is another butterfly card with the Layered Cosmic Butterfly die.

I simply die cut all elements, butterflies and tiny flowers, from white & coloured cardstock and arranged them on A2 sized white card using foam tape. It’s so easy to make, right? :)

SSS Wood Background

Hello crafty friends, happy STAMPtember!
Today I have custom wood background cards with the Woodgrain Block die.
(Oops! Some crafty people asked me where they can buy this die.. I wasn’t aware that this die is retired when I made it actually. So, I searched alternatives and found Memory Box Wood Grain Planks die set).

I die cut the Woodgrain Block from watercolour paper several times, then applied Gathered Twigs & Tea Dye Distress inks. It’s ready to make my own wood background!

I mounted inked woodgrain blocks on Neenah Desert Storm card base using Dot Runner Adhesive as shown in the picture. I then added sentiment & tiny flowers using foam tape. For the sentiment, I used the With All My Heart die. I die cut the greeting from Kraft Woodgrain cardstock, shadow from thick white cardstock first, and then applied Walnut Stain Distress ink to greeting die cut.

For tiny flowers, I used the Blooming Wave die. It is so adorable!!

Here is another card with my own wood background panel. Oh, and it’s my first winter holiday card this year. :D

For the Leafy Christmas Tree, I die cut them from green coloured cardstock first. I used (from light to dark green) SSS Green Apple, SSS Green Leaf and Concord & 9th Clover cardstock. I then layered all together using foam tape. I decorated the tree with tiny snowflakes, clear snowflake sequins and red jewels. For the sentiment, I used the word “Joy” in the Holiday Sparkle Greetings set.

I love this leafy Christmas tree and the script sentiment!!

SSS Printmaking Florals

Hello crafty friends, happy STAMPtember!
My awesome crafty friend Miriam designed so pretty and modern-looking floral stamp set called Printmaking Florals. So today I want to share with you a CAS floral pattern card with this set! :D

For making floral pattern, I used some SSS dye inks as below:
Flower petals: Rose Apple & Lipstick Red
Leaves: Green Apple & Soft Navy / Stems: Smoke Gray.

At first, I stamped outline flower image from the Printmaking Florals set onto white Wonky Rectangle panel using Fog Gray dye ink. I wanted to make no-black-line floral pattern but needed to know the exact place for stamping solid images. I then stamped solid images as shown in the picture. :D

For the sentiment, I die cut two different sized banners from white & kraft cardstock using the Nested Banners dies, stamped the greeting on white banner using VersaFine Onyx Black, and then layered them together.

I used Tim Holtz Paper Distresser on the edges!

SSS Detail Cloud Plate

Hello crafty friends, happy STAMPtember!
Today I have another sunflower card with some SSS old & new products. We love sunflowers, especially in autumn, right?!!

I started by making background panel with the new Detail Cloud Plate die.

I applied the Detail Cloud Plate onto A2 sized watercolour paper panel first, and then lightly coloured it with Tumbled Glass Distress reinker. I added ink splatters as well. I then made a sunflower using the Sunflower Petals & Detailed Rose die sets – I die cut all pieces from watercolour paper, then roughly coloured them with some Distress reinkers.

To give my card a bit of antique look, I simply played with Tim Holtz Paper Distresser. :D

SSS Autumn Leaves

Hello crafty friends, happy STAMPtember!
I believe that you had a wonderful and “artistic” weekend. :D
My first torn edge autumn card was loved so much – oh, I was so happy!! So, I have another torn edge autumn card with the gorgeous Crystal Distortion embossing folder today.

I started by making torn edge background with the Crystal Distortion embossing folder. I placed an A2 sized watercolour paper into the embossing folder, ran it through the die cutting machine. I then tore the edges, applied some autumn coloured Distress inks to the dry embossed panel – I used Antique Linen, Tea Dye and Bundled Sage. I added ink splatters and water drops all around the panel.

For the leafy wreath on the centre of the card, I used the Autumn Leaves set. I stamped the images onto watercolour paper using VersaFine Vintage Sepia pigment ink first, and then coloured them with Distress inks:
Leaves: Crushed Olive, Mowed Lawn, Bundled Sage, Tea Dye and Dried Marigold
Berries: Festive Berries, Dried Marigold and Seedless Preserves.

For my second card, I used the Large Stitched Maple die along with the Crystal Distortion embossing folder.

In this card, I debossed using embossing folder. I applied Crystal Distortion pattern to white paper panel first, and then added ink splatters.

I die cut the Large Stitched Maple from watercolour paper, then coloured it with some autumn coloured Distress inks like the first card here. I decorated the back of the maple die cut with a natural twine to make it look more like autumn. :D
