Mustard Seed Faith Challenge #3

Hello crafty friends, happy Easter!!
I’m SO happy (and so honoured) to be a part of the Mustard Seed Faith Challenge team from this month!
This is a brand new challenge blog for everybody, those with great talents and those with little, those with faith in Jesus, those who are curious about Christianity and those who…just like a good challenge and the key verse, the reason for this blog stems from Matthew 17:20 “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed…nothing will be impossible for you.”

This week’s challenge is to make something related to “Traveling Mercies“.
I started by stamping flowers and leaves from the SSS More Spring Flowers set on an A2 sized white paper panel in MFT Black Licorice hybrid ink, and then coloured them with Alcohol based markers (Altenew and Copic markers). I then used hot-air balloon die cut to express “Traveling Mercies”.
Please visit our challenge blog, Mustard Seed Faith Challenges for more inspiration!

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a fabulous Easter weekend!!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!

MFT WSC 321

Hello crafty friends, happy Wednesday!
Today I want to share with you my card for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 321.
mft_wsc_321
Here is my take on the Sketch 321:
yoonsunhur-20170222-mft-wsc321-001I started by stamping so adorable hugging bear from the Friends Furever set on white card stock in Black Licorice hybrid ink, coloured it with Copic markers, then die cut it with the Friends Furever Die-namics. I then stamped the sentiment from the Friends Furever set on the Lemon Chiffon card stock in Black Licorice hybrid ink, then die cut it with the Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-namics. I die cut the small scallop circle from the Fun & Frolic paper pack using the Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX Die-namics. To finish it off, I adhered diagonal stripe patterned paper (from the Fun & Frolic paper pack) on the bottom of the white paper panel, wrapped with natural cotton thread, mounted it on white card base using double-sided tape, and then added all elements as shown to the card front using foam tape.

Here is my take on the Sketch 320:
yoonsunhur-20170215-mftwsc320-001For today’s card, I created the flower patterned bandages (shhhhh! please don’t tell anyone.. I still love using Hello Kitty bandages :D). I 1) Die cut 5 bandages from white card stock using the Band-Aids Die-namics. 2) Stamped flowers and leaves from the Pretty Posies set on each bandage die cut using Black Licorice hybrid ink, then coloured them with Copic markers. 3) Stamped the sentiment from the Deepest Sympathy set on an A2 sized white paper panel in Black Licorice hybrid ink, medicine bottles & other images from the Feel Better set in Gravel Gray hybrid ink. 4) Mounted the stamped panel on white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added all bandages using foam tape. 5) Embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.
yoonsunhur-20170215-mftwsc320-002Would you want to put on? I believe that these flower bandages can heal your body and mind!!

Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights challenge

Hello crafty friends, I am so honoured to be playing along with the Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights challenge this month!ELLEN-TITLEEssentials by Ellen Pin-Sights challenge is a monthly inspirational challenge based on a Pinterest Inspired photo that is located on the CLASSroom blog.
ELLEN-IPI was inspired by beautiful flowers and ombré pink, so romantic!

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20160210-EllenPinSightsChallenge-A001For my ombré watercolour background, I 1) Coloured on watercolour paper with (from the bottom) Picked RaspberryWorn Lipstick, and Spun Sugar Distress inks using a wet flat brush. 2) Trimmed it with Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics. 3) Stamped the flowers and leaves from Bohemian Garden set at the centre of the watercoloured panel using embossing ink, clear heat embossed (Make sure to completely dry your panel!). 4) Applied a bit of water around the embossed images using a paint brush to remove the ink. 5) Added Picked Raspberry ink splatters. For the sentiment, I used Be-YOU-Tiful die. I cut it 3 additional times and layered it to give it some dimension.

YoonsunHur-20160210-EllenPinSightsChallenge-B001For my second card, I 1) Stamped the flowers and leaves from Bohemian Garden set on watercolour paper panel using embossing ink, white heat embossed. 2) Coloured them with Distress inks using a waterbrush: Picked RaspberryWorn Lipstick, and Spun Sugar for flowers and Bundled Sage for leaves. 3) Added opaque white ink splatters. 4) Stamped the sentiment from Love You So by set on the watercoloured panel in pigment black. 5) Mounted it on A2 size white card base using double-sided tape.

Share Handmade Kindness Challenge: Week 4

Hello, hello crafty friends, long time no see!
I recently visited my hometown, South Korea. I was so happy with my family and friends for the last three weeks. But, I really missed my craft desk and all of you at the same time!! Hope you are doing very well :D
Jen-SHKindnessToday I want to share with you three cards that I’ve made for the Share Handmade Kindness challenge that amazingly beautiful Jennifer McGuire is hosting over on her site.
JEN-SHK20151124-001-600pxI was super happy when I received (and opened) this package from Jennifer, aren’t they amazing?!
JEN-SHK20151124-002-600pxYES! Kindness is Magic!! It is so true! And I feel I am so blessed because I can share my handmade kindness to everyone, everywhere!! Week 4 (November 23-29) will focus on sharing any kind of handmade kindness with strangers. When I thought about strangers who need the encouragement, the words ‘homeless’ came to my mind. My church members are helping several homeless people cope with their difficult condition, so I decided to send my kindness to those homeless people through my handmade cards.

JEN-SHK20151124-003-600pxIf you are one of my Instagram followers, you’ve already seen this watercolour flower. I painted it onto watercolour paper. Then I trimmed it with MFT Blueprints 25 Die-namics. I stamped the sentiment from the beautiful Hero Arts Acts of Kindness stamp set on the watercoloured paper panel using black pigment ink. I mounted it on white card base using double-sided tape. To finish it off, I embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.
JEN-SHK20151124-004-600px
JEN-SHK20151124-005-600pxMy second card is so simple watercolour card. First, I 1) coloured onto watercolour paper panel with MFT dye inks using a wide paintbrush. 2) Stamped the sentiment in the top right-hand corner of watercoloured panel with black pigment ink. 3) Added some ink splatters. 4) Die cut the small sized Cross from white card stock using SSS Crosses die and then affixed it using dimensional foam tape. 5) Mounted it on SSS Fog Gray card stock using double-sided tape. 6) Embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.
JEN-SHK20151124-006-600px
JEN-SHK20151124-007-600pxFor my last card today, I used one of ‘Random Quotes of Kindness’ cards in the package. I 1) Stamped the sentiments from the Hero Arts Acts of Kindness stamp set on white card base using SSS Fog Gray dye ink. 2) Stamped the Christmas leaves from the Hero Arts Holiday Pine Branches stamp set on aqua coloured ‘Quotes of Kindness’ card using embossing ink, heat embossed with white embossing powder, then added dark shading with a Copic marker C3. 3) Mounted the stamped panel on card base using dimensional foam tape. 4) Embellished with a few PPP clear droplets.
JEN-SHK20151124-008-600pxI hope you’ll join in this beautiful ‘Sharing Handmade Kindness’ challenge! Jennifer is giving away some awesome prizes, too!!

Thank you so much for stopping by and happy crafting!!
