Floral Friday: Waffle Flower Poppy Hawthorn

Hello crafty friends!
Wow, it’s already February this year, I hope your January was always happy!

I will start the Floral Friday in February with the Waffle Flower Poppy Hawthorn stamp set – as soon as I saw this flower image, it captivated my heart!

Waffle Flower Poppy Hawthorn stamp set

With this beautiful flower set, I made a watercolour card. I stamped the large flower image onto watercolour paper using VersaFine Vintage Sepia pigment ink first, and then watercoloured the stamped image with Altenew Watercolors:
Purple flowers: Deep Iris / Red flowers: Crimson
Leaves: Bamboo, Forest Glades / Stem: Espresso
Background: Caribbean Sky

Once the watercoloured floral panel was dry, I added water drops and glitters. Adding glitters make the flower image more beautiful!! I’ve learned this technique from Melissa Phillips. Her glittery flowers are really stunning as shown in the picture below:

I stamped the “Thank you” sentiment on the top right corner on the panel using VersaFine Vintage Sepia pigment ink.

This red flower card is that I made in December last year. At that time, I used Copic markers to colour the flower image. :D

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!

Waffle Flower Special Delivery Release Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends!
Welcome to the Waffle Flower Special Delivery Release Blog Hop. I’m so happy to be a part of this amazing blog hop! If you arrived here from super talented Channin Pelletier’s blog you are on the right track.

Today’s blog hop is really special for me! I’m a South Korean-born Australian and Waffle Flower released Korea-themed product called “Annyeonghaseyo” – it means “Hello” in Korean. The sentiments are written in Korean and even there are English together, so it’s much better for people who don’t know Korean to understand the meaning! Nina is genius!!

(Image sources from Google)
“Taegeukgi”, the national flag of Korea, beautiful “Hanbok”, Korean traditional clothes and “Taekwondo”, a martial art representing Korea!

And here is my card with gorgeous Annyeonghaseyo set. I stamped images using black dye ink, coloured them with Copic markers, and then die cut them with the matching dies.

I stamped the word “안녕하세요 (Hello)” on the centre of the card.

For my second card, I chose the word “감사합니다 (Thank you)” in the Annyeonghaseyo set. I stamped & Copic coloured flowers in the Poppy Hawthorn set and stamped the sentiment on the top right corner of the card.

Waffle Flower: Christmas Tree

Happy Tuesday, crafty friends!
I have a couple of fun Christmas tree cards today using the Waffle Flower Christmas Tree Stamp & (so inventive) Pull-tab Tree Die.

Here is what I came up with:

I die cut Pull Tab Tree base & other elements from Green Apple card stock first, and then assembled them followed the video tutorial. I die cut snowflakes from white card stock using several Simon’s snowflake dies: Rina, Kate, Stitched Flakes.
Look at this adorable interactive Christmas tree!
Here is another pull tab tree card! I heat embossed sentiment, snow, stars from the Christmas Tree set on the tree base with white embossing powder, and then ink blended with Twisted Citron and Evergreen Bough Distress inks. I then adhered pull-tab tree on wood patterned panel.
I added tiny snowflakes and jingle bells.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy crafting.

Keep smiling and be blessed. God bless you all.

Waffle Flower October Release Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends, TGIF! I am so happy to be a part of the Waffle Flower October Release Blog Hop!! If you arrived here from an amazing Laura Bassen’s blog you are on the right track!
This Christmas, make your cards stand out with Waffle Flower Christmas Tree Combo (stamp, pop-up tree die)! This tree lies flat for mailing but pops up when you pull the tab! You can make it pull on either side and lock it into place and keep the tree popped up! The matching stamp set provides you a quick way to customize your tree and the Pull-tab Tree Pop-up Add-on Die (available separately) adds another layer of dimension.

Also in Waffle Flower’s October release, you’ll find Hello Pumpkin (stamp, die, combo) that features the popular mice illustrated by Liz Mytinger in a happy fall theme; Yippee (stamp, die, combo) to help you tell your friends and family how proud you are of their success and achievements; Sweater Weather (stamp, die, combo) that can be customized to your heart’s content; Coffee Time (stamp, die, combo) is the perfect set to go with a gift card to a favorite coffee shop; My Sunshine (stamp) will help you create beautiful cards to let your friends and family know how important they are to you.

For my cards today, I used the Sweater Weather Stamp & Die Set – it’s definitely one of my favourites!

To create the card, I stamped a winter sweater on kraft card using black dye ink, coloured it with red polychromos colour pencil, die cut it with the matching die. Next, I stamped the sentiment & tiny dots from the Sweater Weather set on kraft card base using black dye ink. I decorated the card front with washi tape, Christmas coloured twine, snowflake sequins, and then adhered the sweater die cut on the centre of the card using foam tape.

Here is another card with the Sweater Weather Stamp Set. I stamped sweaters, sentiment, tiny dots on watercolour paper panel using black pigment ink first, and then watercoloured them!

Waffle Flower: Let Love Grow

Hello crafty friends, this is my second post today!
I want to share my colourful card with you using so adorable (and very popular) Waffle Flower Let Love Grow Stamp & Die Set.

Before sharing my card, I wanna show you a picture of Nina (Waffle Flower Founder & owner) & me at Darling Harbour in Sydney last month! We ate Chinese hot pot, chatted over our coffee & ice cream, discussed stamp design trend & watercolours! It was my first meeting with her but I felt like I met an old friend. Nina is super, super sweet, smart and brave woman!
Oh, I miss her so much even though we only met once!! Nina is SO LOVELY!!

OK.. here is my card with the Let Love Grow Set.
I started by stamping cute fruits & plants from the Let Love Grow set on an A2 sized watercolour paper panel using Versafine Onyx Black. I then coloured them with Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolors. I also stamped butterflies on a separate watercolour paper in pigment black, watercoloured them, and then die cut them with the matching dies.
Once the panel was completely dry, I trimmed both sides using SSS Scallop Stitches die. I mounted the main panel on red card base using double-sided tape first, and then added butterflies & sentiment banner using foam tape.
I will bring some more Waffle Flower projects soon!

Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy crafting.

Keep smiling and be blessed. God bless you all.
