SSS Ocean Background

Hello crafty friends! Hope you are having a happy weekend.
Today I have three ocean-themed cards with some Simon Says Stamp goodies.

I made watercoloured ocean backgrounds with Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers and Faded Jeans Distress reinkers – I loooove this blue combo!!

So many crafty friends love my Mermaid 3D standing card I made last month so I used the Be A Mermaid set once again. :D

To make watercoloured ocean background, I fixed the edge of the watercolour paper with purple tape first. I then applied water to the paper before watercolouring. I lightly coloured with Tumbled Glass Distress reinker, then added blue ink splatters. Once it was dry, I trimmed it using A2 sized Basic Rectangle die.

I heat embossed mermaid tails & waves from the Be A Mermaid set in white, coloured them with Distress inks, and then die cut them with the matching dies:
Red mermaid tail: (from bottom to top) Victorian Velvet, Festive Berries, Tattered Rose and Fossilized Amber
Green mermaid tail: Peacock Feathers, Mowed Lawn, Crushed Olive and Fossilized Amber.
I mounted them on white card base, decorated the card with April Showers sequins and Clear Droplets.

For my second card, I used the Anchor die & the Anchors Background stamp. I made watercoloured sea background using Tumbled Glass, Crushed Olive, Peacock Feathers and Faded Jeans Distress reinkers. Once it was dry, I trimmed it using the Wonky Rectangle die. I applied Tumbled Glass Distress ink to the Anchors Background stamp, stamped onto watercoloured panel, then lightly touched the stamped images using water brush. For the centre of the card, I die cut the Anchor from thick white cardstock, wrapped it using natural twine, adhered it using foam tape.

For my last card today, I used the Lighthouse die & the In The Round stencil. To give the wave effect, I used the Circle Masks Stencil set. I placed the circle stencils onto A2 sized watercolour paper panel, then lightly traced circles using pencil in the order of small to large sized circle. I then coloured according to circle lines using Faded Jeans, Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass Distress reinkers.

To express breaking waves, I laid the In The Round stencil onto watercolour panel, and then applied white embossing paste. :D

SSS Ornate Alphabets

Hello crafty friends, happy weekend!!
Today I’m popping in to share with you my Ornate “Thank You” & “Miss You” cards using Ornate Alphabet Stamp Set along with Bold Flowers Stamp & Die Set.
I started by heat embossing the word “THANK YU (except “O”)” from the Ornate Alphabet set on white card stock in white. I then ink blended each letter with SSS dye inks & Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Blender Brush – I used Lipstick Red & Willow dye inks. After ink blending, I fussy cut all letters, adhered vellum paper back of each letter, trimmed them down.
I stamped flower & leaves from the Bold Flowers set on white card stock using some SSS dye inks, then die cut them with the matching dies.
(Flower) Lipstick Red dye ink
(Leaves) Willow & Scuba dye inks
I die cut the Diamond Pattern Panel from ivory card stock, tiny butterflies from white card stock using the Flickering Butterflies die.
Instead of letter “O”, I used red flower. :D

Here is another card with the Ornate Alphabet Stamp Set. I made the same way but used different colours. I ink blended the letters with Blue Jay & Duckling dye inks.
For the background, I die cut the Marilyn Full Card Panel from ivory card stock, then adhered it on white card base using double-sided tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!

SSS STAMPtember® PPP Pansies

Hello crafty friends!
Today I have a flower card with another beautiful STAMPtember® Pretty Pink Posh Pansies Set.

Here is what I came up with:
I die cut the Wonky Rectangle panel from white card stock at first. I then randomly stamped pansies & leaves with Altenew Sand Dunes dye ink. I coloured all stamped images with polychromos colored pencils.
For the sentiment, I die cut the word “Miss You” from white card stock three times, stacked them up using fine tip glue pen.

Here is a closer look:

TCC #30 – Thinking of You

Happy Wednesday everyone! Here we are again with a new challenge at The Card Concept!
TCC-IP30
Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20150304-TCC01March! It’s spring and beautiful flowers began to bloom in everywhere!

For my card today, I used Simon Says Stamp Best Mom Ever Stamp Set as my main supply. 1)I stamped large outlined rose on the watercolour panel using Distress Ink Antique Linen for colouring yellow roses and Spun Sugar for pinkish roses because I wanted to do no-line watercolouring. 2)I coloured roses & leaves with distress markers using waterbrush -pinkish roses: Worn Lipstick, Barn Door / yellow roses: Squeezed Lemonade, Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed / leaves: Mowed Lawn, Evergreen Bough, Peacock Feathers, Peeled Paint. 3)I stamped wired circle stamp over the roses and leaves using SSS dye inks Sunshine, Cotton Candy, and Fog Gray. 4)For the sentiment, I stamped ‘Thinking of you’ from Simon Says Stamp Summer Garden Stamp Set -one of my favourite among my stamp stash- with VersaFine Onyx Black and heat embossed it in clear. I then cut it and adhered on the watercoloured panel using dimensional foam tape. 5)To finish it off, I brushed on the roses with Zig Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Clear and added some clear sequins.
