SSS Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes

Hello crafty friends and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. It’s already the last week of April. Wow, time flies!!

Today I have a watercoloured rose card to share with you using MFT Roses All Over background stamp.I started by stamping roses from the MFT Roses All Over background stamp on watercolour paper using Altenew Sand Dunes dye ink, then trimmed it down using A2 sized rectangle panel die in the SSS Basic Rectangles die set. Next, I coloured the stamped roses with 24 Staedtler Ergo Soft Aquarell Watercolour Pencils. I coloured the edge of each petal with pencil first, and then brushed them using water brush. I die cut three of butterflies from heavy weight white card stock using the MFT Flutter of Butterflies Lace Die-namics – my favourite butterfly die set! I then inked the bottom half of them with Tattered Rose Distress ink.
For the sentiment, I used the MFT Essential Sentiments stamp set.

SSS Wednesday Challenge: Sparkle and Shine

Hello crafty friends, I am back with you this week to share a Mother’s Day card I’ve created using newly released SSS Fluttering By products: Center Cut Flowers, Script Mom, Flickering Butterflies, Woodgrain Block, and Messages For Everyday.
Here is what I came up with:

I started by stamping the center floral from the Center Cut Flowers background stamp on watercolour paper using Barely Beige dye ink because of no-line colouring. I coloured the stamped image with Faber-Castell polychromos pencils. In my flowers, I coloured the half of each petal & leaf image with pencils, and then brushed them using (lightly) oiled blending stump – I used Zest-it Pencil Blend but you can use baby oil for blending oil pencils!
I have 120 polychromos pencils but you don’t need to buy too many all at once. 12 basic colour set, it’s good enough for you to try!
After colouring, I die cut the Woodgrain Block from white card stock.

I mounted the woodgrain panel on top-folded white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added coloured flower image, sentiment die cut, tiny butterflies on the card front using foam tape. For the sentiment, I used the Script Mom dies & Messages For Everyday stamp set.
To finish it off, I added these yummy fruity Nuvo Jewel Drops around the flowers!!

SSS Mama, Love You

Hello crafty friends! Hope you had a fantastic weekend! I guess so many of you are busy with Mother’s Day cards these days (right?!!) and so do I.

Simon Says Stamp released lots of new Spring & Mother’s Day themed products called “Fluttering By” last week, so today I have a floral Mother’s Day card to share with you using the Center Cut Flowers background stamp & CZ Design Love You Mama set along with other SSS products.

Here is what I came up with:
First, I die cut a rectangle panel from watercolour paper using the SSS Stitched Rectangles Panel die set. I then stamped the center floral on the bottom right corner of watercolour panel in VersaFine Onyx Black pigment ink, coloured it with watercolours and water brush. Once the watercoloured panel was completely dry, I directly stamped the sentiment “Mama” onto the main panel using the CZ Design Love You Mama set in Onyx Black, die cut it with the matching die.
I mounted the watercoloured panel on Fog Gray card base using double-sided tape first, and then added the sentiment die cut using foam tape. I stamped “Love You” on white card stock in Onyx Black, trimmed it out, and then adhered under the “Mama” sentiment using the same foam tape. I die cut tiny butterflies from white card stock using the SSS Flickering Butterflies die, and then decorated around the flowers & sentiment area with them using foam tape.

Before I go, wanna share my new stamp set in the SSS Fluttering By Release called “Best Mom“. I will make & share my cards with it as soon as it arrives! I hope you like it!!
Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!

SSS Wednesday Challenge: Add Some Texture

Hello crafty friends, I am back with you this week to share my floral card I’ve created using the Tim Holtz Floral Layering Stencil.
Here is what I came up with:
I started by die cutting rectangle panel from kraft card stock using the SSS Basic Rectangles die. I then laid the Tim Holtz Floral Layering Stencil over the kraft panel, applied white embossing paste using palette knife. I carefully removed the stencil, and then sprinkled a bit of clear glitter over the flowers. Once the panel was completely dry, I decorated the left side of the panel with natural twine & pom pom trim. For the sentiment, I used the SSS Let Us Rejoice stamp set. I heat embossed the sentiment on the SSS Dark Chocolate card stock in white, trimmed it out using the SSS Stitched Banners die.

Flora & Fauna: Live Life Wildflowers

Hello crafty friends!
Today I have another floral card to share with you using so gorgeous Flora & Fauna Live Life Wildflowers stamp set. I love their stylish flowers so much!!

Here is what I came up with:
I started by stamping flowers & leaves from the Live Life Wildflowers set on watercolour paper panel using Altenew Sand Dunes dye ink. I then coloured all stamped images with polychromos colored pencils – just wanted to have rough texture from those colored pencils. I roughly coloured the background with Pumice Stone Distress ink and water brush.
Once the panel was dry, I stamped the sentiment on the bottom right corner of the panel using VersaFine Onyx Black pigment ink.
I stamped butterflies on a separate watercolour paper in Onyx Black pigment ink, fussy cut them out, and then put onto the panel using foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!
