I started by stamping whimsical flowers and leaves from the Doodled Blooms set on watercolour paper in Black Licorice hybrid ink, then trimmed it out using the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics. Next, I coloured them with Peerless watercolors, added some ink splatters all over the panel. Altenew Stencils & Ink Sprays Release Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends, welcome to the Altenew Stencils & Ink Sprays Release Blog Hop!
We are releasing 7 stencils, 12 ink sprays, 13 coloured cardstock and 7 envelopes – I love the new shimmer ink sprays in particular!!

I think you can guess what I did the first time with those shimmer ink sprays. Oh yes! I tried to do watercolouring!! To start, I laid the Floral Drape stencil on an A2 sized watercolour paper panel, traced flowers and leaves very lightly with a pencil. I then coloured them with the new shimmer ink sprays: (Flowers) Ruby Red, Coral Berry, Frosty Pink, Warm Sunshine (Leaves) Forest GladesFrayed Leaf, Ocean Waves, Sea Glass (Small dots) Lavender Fields. For the sentiment, I used the Adore You stamp set.
Altenew ink sprays are shimmery but bright and vibrant as well. The colours blend smoothly together!!

For my second card, I used the new Layered Medallion A and B stencils as my main supply. I laid the Layered Medallion A stencil on watercolour paper, and then inked with Coral Berry, Frosty Pink dye inks. Next, I laid the Layered Medallion B stencil on the inked panel in place, then inked with Ruby Red dye ink. Once the panel was dry, I trimmed it down using stitched rectangle panel die. I mounted the panel on the new Apple Red card base using foam tape, and then lightly coloured on the centre of the patterned background with the Frosty Pink shimmer ink. For the sentiment, I used the word “Thank you” in the Majestic Bloom die set.
The pattern is.. well, how do I explain.. very deep and mysterious looking. It looks like Magic Eye pictures, don’t you think? :D

SSS So grateful for YOU

Welcome back my crafty friends!
Today I want to share with you my floral thanks card with the SSS Oh Happy Day stamp set I designed.
sss-feb-p06
Here is what I came up with:
yoonsunhur-20170228-sssp06-001I started by creating my floral background with the Oh Happy Day stamp set. For stamping flowers, I used warm colours of SSS dye ink: Cotton CandyRosie Cheeks, Schoolhouse Red, Sunshine, Merlot, and Lemon Zing. I then lightly brushed around the stamped area with Festive Berries Distress ink and a wet paint brush. I added opaque white ink splatters. Once the panel was dry, I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Essentials set with VersaFine Vintage Sepia.
yoonsunhur-20170228-sssp06-002I die cut the top part of the panel with Scallop Stitches die, then decorated the panel with natural twine and leaves die cut (from the Single Roses dies). Lastly I mounted it on top-folded kraft card base using foam tape.

SSS Cottage Stems

Hello crafty friends, happy Sunday! I hope you are having a great weekend!!
Today I want to share with you my card with the beautiful SSS Cottage Stems die.
sss-feb-p04
Here is what I came up with:
yoonsunhur-20170226-sssp04-001To create this card, I 1) Die cut 3 Cottage Stems from watercolour paper. 2) Adhered them on watercolour paper panel using fine tip glue pen. 3) Trimmed the panel using the Stitches Rectangles die. 4) Ink blended on the panel with (from red to purple) Festive BerriesScattered StrawCrushed OliveFaded JeansSeedless Preserves Distress inks and mini ink blending tool. 5) Brushed on the inked panel with a wet paint brush – Distress inks react with water so well! 6) Added water droplets and white ink splatters. 7) Die cut the word “Believe” from white card stock. 8) Mounted the coloured panel on an A2 sized white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added the sentiment die cut using foam tape. 9) Embellished with a few PPP 3mm clear sequins.

Altenew – Thanks

Hello crafty friends!
I’m up on the Altenew blog today with my floral thanks card using the Hello Sunshine stamp set and Thanks word die.
yoonsunhur-20170216-altenew-hellosunshine001To start, I die cut a piece of watercolour paper using an A2 sized rectangle panel die in the SSS Basic Rectangles die set. I didn’t use watercolours but just wanted to add a light grainy paper texture to my card. After masking off all edges of the panel with washi tape, I stamped lots of small flowers from the Hello Sunshine set randomly onto the panel in MFT Black Licorice hybrid ink. I then coloured them with the Artist Markers (yellow & purple colors are Copic markers). I coloured the background with Faber Castell cool gray polychromos pencil. For the sentiment, I die cut the word “Thanks” from white card stock. Finally, I mounted the flower panel on white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added the sentiment die cut using foam tape. I embellished with a few PPP clear sequins & droplets.
