SSS Prayers and Love

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!!
Today I want to share with you my simple die card with the Simon Says Stamp Elegant Roses and Partial Cut Leaves Dies.
yoonsunhur-20170209-sssp01-001To create this card, I 1) Die cut a piece of kraft card stock using 3.75″ x 5″ rectangle panel die in the SSS Basic Rectangles die set. 2) Blended on the bottom of the kraft panel with Festive Berries and Wild Honey Distress inks. 3) Die cut each rose from white card stock using Elegant Roses dies 5 times, then glued them together using fine tip glue pen – made 3 thick rose die cuts. 4) Positioned the white rose cuts and the Partial Cut Leaves dies on the ink blended part of the panel in place, put the rose cuts away, then die cut the Partial Cut Leaves. 5) Stamped the sentiment from the Prayers set in VersaFine Onyx Black. 6) Mounted the panel on the same kraft card base using foam tape first, and then adhered the white roses on it using fine tip glue pen, added white opaque ink splatters and the PPP clear embellishments.

SSS Hello

Today I want to share with you my rainbow flower card with the Simon Says Stamp Floral Dot Collage die.

Here is what I came up with:
yoonsunhur-20170131-sss6-01I like to use all the colours of the rainbow for my project!! To create this card, I 1) Die cut a piece of watercolour paper using the Basic Rectangles die. 2) Added Stitched Whirls all over the watercolour paper panel. 3) Die cut the centre of the panel using the Floral Dot Collage die – it’s so pretty die!! 4) Watercoloured around the floral die cut with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor and a wet paint brush in rainbow order, added some opaque white ink splatters. 5) Die cut butterflies from a separate watercolour paper using the Butterfly Drift die, roughly watercoloured them with Gansai Tambi Watercolor as well. 6) Die cut the word “Hello” from white card stock using the Handlettered Greetings dies. 7) Mounted all elements as shown to the Fog Gray card base using foam tape.

SSS Thank You

Hello crafty friends, happy Sunday!!
Today I want to share with you my CAS watercolour card with the SSS Circle Leaves die.
sss-20170129-p05Simon Says Stamp has many elegant and beautiful dies and I love this newly released Circle Leaves in particular.

Here is what I came up with:
yoonsunhur-20170129-sss5-01To start, I die cut the Circle Leaves from the centre of an A2 sized white paper panel. I then made a watercoloured background with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor: No.51 (May Green), No.53 (Mid Green), No.50 (Pale Aqua), No.139 (Purple). I heat embossed the sentiment from the Believe stamp set on black card stock in white, and then trimmed it to the small banner. Lastly I mounted all elements as shown to white card base using foam tape.
yoonsunhur-20170129-sss5-03As you may know, I like to make my own patterned background with stamps or dies, like to fill the background with stamped images but this time, I didn’t do it. This white background without images makes the watercoloured leaves more shining and beautiful!

SSS Sending Kisses

Hello crafty friends, happy weekend!!
Today I am popping in to share with you my floral card with my all time favourite SSS Best Mom Ever stamp set and the Flowing Vine Collage die.

Here is what I came up with:
yoonsunhur-20170128-sss4-01For my card today, I was inspired by super gorgeous Kathy Racoosin‘s alcohol marker colouring!!

yoonsunhur-20170128-sss-p01I started by stamping flowers and leaves from the Best Mom Ever set on an A2 sized white paper panel in black hybrid ink. I used Post-It Notes to mask stamped images.
yoonsunhur-20170128-sss-p02Next, I coloured them with some alcohol markers.
yoonsunhur-20170128-sss-p03For the front, I die cut it from white card stock using the Flowing Vine Collage die – this die is so beautiful!!
yoonsunhur-20170128-sss4-03I lightly watercoloured around the die cut area with Tattered Rose Distress ink and a wet paint brush. For the sentiment, I used the SSS Love stamp set.
