MFT WSC 282

Hello crafty friends, happy Wednesday!
Today I want to share with you a floral card for My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 282.
MFT_WSC_282
Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20160525-MFTWSC282-001To create the card, I turned the sketch on its side. First, I made my own colourful flower background with the Pretty Posies stamp set – I stamped them with several colours of hybrid ink. I then die cut the small circles from the panel using the Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics. Along the edge of the panel, I added some natural twine. For the underneath of the floral panel, I ink blended white card base with the rainbow of Distress inks: Festive BerriesMustard SeedMowed Lawn, and Peacock Feathers. I then added some water drops & clear sequins. I mounted the floral panel on the ink blended base using dimensional foam tape.
YoonsunHur-20160525-MFTWSC282-002For the sentiment, I die cut the word “beautiful” from white card stock using the Hello Beautiful Die-namics, and then heat embossed another sentiment, Magical Unicorns stamp set, on black card stock in white.

MFT_WSC_281
Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20160518-MFTWSC281-001I couldn’t resist another play with so gorgeous Flashy Florals stamp set in the May card kit. First, I die cut a piece of white card stock using the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics and then stamped the flowers and leaves from Flashy Florals set on it with several colours of hybrid ink:
Flowers: Pineapple & Latte
Leaves: Sour AppleLimeadeGreen-Eyed Monster / Summer SplashLush Lagoon
Red leaves: Cotton Candy & Red Hot
Next, I cut a circle out of the stamped panel for the shaker front, back it with acetate sheet, then fill in the circle with the PPP sequins. I mounted the shaker panel over the Kraft card base using dimensional foam tape. For the sentiment, I used the Snuggle Bunnies stamp set.

YoonsunHur-20160517-MFT-MAYCardKit-A001For my first card, I made a watercolour flower card. First, I painted several circles on watercolour paper panel using Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor. I then stamped the flower accents at the centre of the watercoloured circles with Black Licorice hybrid ink & Rusty Hinge Distress ink, the leaves with Black Licorice hybrid ink. For the sentiment, I die cut the word “Thanks” from white card stock using Thanks & Hello Die-namics five times, glued them together, then blended it with Tattered Rose Distress ink using a mini blending tool – I love this painted “Thanks” die so much!!
YoonsunHur-20160517-MFT-MAYCardKit-A002YoonsunHur-20160517-MFT-MAYCardKit-B001For my second card, I used masking technique. First, I die cut the flowers and leaves from the Inkadinkado stamping mask paper using Flashy Florals Die-namics, placed the mask die cuts on watercolour paper panel, then ink blended the background with Red Hot, Pure Plum, Orange Zest, Ripe Raspberry dye inks using a mini blending tool. Once dry, I removed the masks and then stamped the flower accents and leaves (shown as the picture) using Black Licorice hybrid ink. For the sentiment, I used the Thanks & Hello Die-namics.
YoonsunHur-20160517-MFT-MAYCardKit-B002YoonsunHur-20160517-MFT-MAYCardKit-C001For my last card, I stamped the flowers and leaves from Flashy Florals set on white paper panel with several colours of hybrid ink:
Red flowers: Red Hot & Paver Red
Yellow flowers: PineappleLatte
Small flowers: Summer Splash & Lush LagoonSour AppleGreen-Eyed Monster
Leaves: Black Licorice
I ink blended the edge of the stamped panel with Tattered Rose Distress ink, added some water drops.

MFT May Release Replay

Hello crafty friends, welcome to the My Favorite Things May Release Replay Challenge!
PrintToday our team is taking a fresh look at our most recent release with inspiring ideas and innovative takes on the complete collection. We love the opportunity to look at our products with fresh eyes, envisioning entirely new ways to showcase the possibilities they present. We can’t wait to share our ideas with you!

My cards today I used the Make Yourself at Home stamp set and Modern Mosaic Background stamp.
YoonsunHur-20160510-MFTRR-A001With the Make Yourself at Home stamp set, every background stamp could be a gorgeous wallpaper! And today, the newly released Modern Mosaic Background stamp was used as a stylish modern wallpaper in my card.

To create this card, I stamped the Modern Mosaic Background on white card stock using Black Licorice hybrid ink, then trimmed it with Stitched Mini Scallop Rectangle STAX Die-namics. I then added some shading with a Copic marker C1, then coloured some rectangles with Copic markers as well:
Red: (from lighter to darker) R24, R29, R39  /  Blue: BG11, BG13, B95
Yellow: Y02, Y15, YR14  /  Green: BG11, YG06, B95
Brown: E53, E25, E49  /  Purple: V12, R85, V15
Next, I stamped the sofas, lamp stand, and frames from Make Yourself at Home set on a separate white card stock using Black Licorice hybrid ink, die cut them with Make Yourself at Home Die-namics. I mounted all elements as shown to A2 white card base using dimensional foam tape, then embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.

YoonsunHur-20160510-MFTRR-B001For my second card, I was inspired by my talented teammate Kimberly Crawford (click HERE to see her gorgeous card). I used the Mini MISTI stamping tool to stamp the sofas on watercolour panel, stamped them in Black Licorice hybrid ink, then watercoloured them with Peerless watercolors. I coloured the rest area with Tattered Rose Distress ink using a paint brush. For the sentiment, I white heat embossed it on the Milk Chocolate card stock, then trimmed it with the fishtail banner die in the Blueprints 27 Die-namics. Lastly I mounted the panels on A2 white card base using dimensional foam tape.

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog today for more great projects from the design team for this months challenge.
