SSS Crafty Hugs Release Blog Hop – Day 2

Hello crafty friends!
Welcome to Day 2 of the Simon Says Stamp Crafty Hugs Release Blog Hop. If you arrived here from super talented Debby Hughes’s blog you are on the right track!

For today’s cards, I used the So Beautiful Background Stamp.
I die cut the Wonky Rectangle panel from watercolour paper first, and then stamped wildflowers onto the panel using black pigment ink. I then placed Clouds For Days stencil over the panel in place, made clouds using Tumbled Glass Distress ink.
I stamped another set of wildflowers in black, coloured all flowers with polychromos colored pencils, then fussy cut them out. I mounted the panel on kraft card base using double-sided tape first, and then added flowers on the right place using foam tape.
For the sentiment, I used the Sentiment Strips Reverse Sympathy.

  1. Your card makes me smile! I really enjoy the color you added to the initial panel. All of the rich colors on the flowers provide in dimension, and you took it a step further! I like the way you cut out the flowers and then added foam squares to them. Nice card!

  2. That stamp is beautiful and your idea of cutting out and layering the flowers makes it even more so! Wonderful colors and clouds, too.

  3. This card is SO fun! I love how you popped up those fussy cut flowers for subtle dimension, it makes the card look so 3D!
