SSS Cherished Release Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!
Welcome to the Simon Says Stamp Cherished Release Blog Hop!! If you arrived here from Nina Marie Trapani’s blog you are on the right track!

Today I will be sharing with you my summer themed cards using brand new Summer Flowers Stamp Set, Circular Lace Stencil, and Wonky Rectangles Die Set.
As you can guess, my first card is watercolour flower card! :D I randomly stamped flowers and leaves from the Summer Flowers set on watercolour paper using VersaFine Vintage Sepia pigment ink, and then trimmed it down with the Wonky Rectangle panel die. I coloured them with Peerless watercolors and water brush. For the sentiment, I die cut the word “Delightful” from metal gold card stock five times, stacked them up using fine tip glue pen. Once the watercoloured panel was dry, I mounted it on an A2 sized top-folded kraft card base using double-sided tape first, and then added the sentiment die cut using fine tip glue pen.

For my second card, I used the Circular Lace stencil as my main supply. I laid the stencil over watercolour panel, and then inked with some Distress inks: Abandoned Coral, Scattered Straw, Crushed Olive, Victorian Velvet, and Cracked Pistachio. Once the inked panel was dry, I distressed all edges of the panel using Tim Holtz Paper Distresser.
For the sentiment, I used the Believe word die and the Believe stamp set. Around the sentiment, I added some vellum butterflies (from the Butterfly Drift die).

My last card is sunflower card. I heat embossed sunflowers from the Summer Flowers set on kraft panel in white, and then coloured them with Faber Castell polychromos pencils. For the sentiment, I used the Oh Happy Day stamp set.

  1. Wonderful cards! Love the distress inks through the stencil. The stencils in this release are so delicate and gorgeous.

  2. Love that sunflower stamp with the kraft card stock! and that stencilling on the first card is so simple but brings great impact :)

  3. Three stunning cards. Beautiful background and colours on the first one. Love the addition of the vellum flowers on the second one. Adore the pencil colouring on the third one.

  4. Hi Yoonsun ~ Your cards are absolutely lovely. The stencil you used in the softly colored 2nd card is one of my top “must haves” in this new release. Love the white embossing on the kraft (sunflowers are my absolute favorite flower) and the beautiful watercoloring using the Summer Flowers set. Thanks for sharing. ~HUGS~

  5. Wow. Such a variety in your cards. I think I might have to dry the distress ink through the lace stencil technique. And love how you made the sunflowers from colored pencils. Oh and I’m so happy to see someone using the peerless water colors- they turned out so bright and vibrant.

  6. I see you don’t monetize your website, don’t waste your traffic,
