SSS Cherished Release Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!
Welcome to the Simon Says Stamp Cherished Release Blog Hop!! If you arrived here from Nina Marie Trapani’s blog you are on the right track!

Today I will be sharing with you my summer themed cards using brand new Summer Flowers Stamp Set, Circular Lace Stencil, and Wonky Rectangles Die Set.
As you can guess, my first card is watercolour flower card! :D I randomly stamped flowers and leaves from the Summer Flowers set on watercolour paper using VersaFine Vintage Sepia pigment ink, and then trimmed it down with the Wonky Rectangle panel die. I coloured them with Peerless watercolors and water brush. For the sentiment, I die cut the word “Delightful” from metal gold card stock five times, stacked them up using fine tip glue pen. Once the watercoloured panel was dry, I mounted it on an A2 sized top-folded kraft card base using double-sided tape first, and then added the sentiment die cut using fine tip glue pen.

For my second card, I used the Circular Lace stencil as my main supply. I laid the stencil over watercolour panel, and then inked with some Distress inks: Abandoned Coral, Scattered Straw, Crushed Olive, Victorian Velvet, and Cracked Pistachio. Once the inked panel was dry, I distressed all edges of the panel using Tim Holtz Paper Distresser.
For the sentiment, I used the Believe word die and the Believe stamp set. Around the sentiment, I added some vellum butterflies (from the Butterfly Drift die).

My last card is sunflower card. I heat embossed sunflowers from the Summer Flowers set on kraft panel in white, and then coloured them with Faber Castell polychromos pencils. For the sentiment, I used the Oh Happy Day stamp set.

SSS Father’s Day

Hello crafty friends!
Today I want to share with you my Father’s day card with the Simon Says Stamp Time For Wine stamp set and the Big Dad word die. I think wine is the best gift for dad. :)
To create the card, I 1) Cut watercolour paper to 5 ½” x 4 ¼” using the Basic Rectangle die. 2) Ink blended the panel with Seedless Preserves, Festive Berries, Scattered Straw Distress inks and mini ink blending tool. 3) Brushed the inked panel using a wet flat brush, added water droplets. Allow to dry completely. 4) Die cut the bottom of the panel using the Big Dad word die (I inlaid white “DAD” die cuts instead). 5) Stamped images from the Time For Wine set on watercolour paper using VersaFine Onyx Black pigment ink, coloured them with Distress markers, then fussy cut them. 6) Heat embossed the sentiment from the Mom and Dad Icons set on black card stock in white. 7) Mounted all elements as shown to A2 white card base using foam tape. 8) Embellished with a few PPP clear droplets.

SSS Costume Birthday Party

Hello crafty friends, happy Monday!
My teenage niece received a costume birthday party invitation, it will be held next Saturday, so she asked me to make a happy birthday card. Sure! Why not? For her friend, I chose the SSS Critter Costume Party stamp set – this is the perfect choice!!
I started by stamping adorable costume critters (from the Critter Costume Party set), cute bird, party hats, stars (from the Cuddly Critters Accessories set) randomly onto watercolour paper using VersaFine Onyx Black pigment ink, then coloured them with Distress markers. Random stamping + Distress marker watercolouring is one of my favourite techniques!! Once the panel was dry, I trimmed it down using an A2 sized Basic Rectangle panel die. I mounted the watercoloured panel on top-folded white card base using double-sided tape, then embellished with a few star wood veneers.
My niece looooooved this card so much and gave me two thumbs up! :)

SSS Beautiful Day

Hello crafty friends, it’s a warm sunny day. I can see people are riding bicycles outside. :)
So today I want to share with you my card with the Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Ride Stamp & Die Set – it’s definitely one of my favourites among SSS products!!
I started by stamping bicycle, baskets, and kitty from the Beautiful Ride set on watercolour paper using Onyx Black pigment ink. I coloured them with Distress markers, then die cut them with the matching dies.
For the bubbly background, I used the Ring Wreath die. I die cut Ring Wreath from a separate white card stock several times, adhered them on an A2 sized white paper panel using fine tip glue pen. I also die cut Ring Wreath from coloured card stock; Audrey BlueCotton CandyGreen Apple, Lemon ChiffonLipstick RedSea Glass, and Sunshine. Then I inlaid circle cuts in place, as seen above.
For the sentiment, I used the word “Hello” in the Handlettered Greetings die set.
How about riding a bike and saying “hello” to your neighbors today?

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a lovely day!!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!
