YoonsunHur-MFT-20150703-Day5-01For my first card, I used Split Diagonal Background Stamp in a creative way. 1)First of all, I stamped it onto the white card stock with embossing ink, white heat embossed. 2)I inked diagonal stripes with MFT dye inks Red Hot, Orange Fizz, Lemon Drop, Sour Apple, Lush Lagoon, and Pure Plum in rainbow order. I then cut each stripe. 3)I made fringe at the bottom of each stripe and then adhered them to the Grout Gray card stock. For the sentiment, I used it from Blueprints 26 Die-namics.

SSS Wednesday Challenge – Favorite Technique

Hello crafty friends, happy Wednesday!
wed-newchallenge-headerHere we are again with a new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!
wed-challenge-badge_zpsf506d7eeThis week’s theme is My Favorite Technique!

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20150617-SSSWC01Watercolour card is definitely my most favourite and I love the colours of the rainbow. So, I made my own rainbow watercolour background.

Simon Carousel Horse die takes me back to my childhood. When I was a little girl, my parents took me to the amusement park to celebrate my birthday. I still remember how I loved riding carousel horses and seeing a pretty rainbow up in the sky. Ohhhh… I want to go to the amusement park right now lol!

To create my own background, I used Distress inks Festive Berries, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, and Seedless Preserves in rainbow order. I saturated a wide paintbrush with fresh water, and brushed the water over the watercolour panel at first. I then coloured with those Distress inks using the same paintbrush. I die cut the carousel horse and birthday circle from the white cardstock, mounted them as shown to the watercoloured panel. To finish it off, I embellished some clear sequins, star wood veneers.

Pretty Pink Posh – May Release Blog Hop!

Hello crafty friends!
Welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh May Product Release Blog Hop! You should have arrived from Pretty Pink Posh blog.
BAN01-MayRelease

YoonsunHur-20150511-PPP-01For my first card, I used May release Stitched Borders 3 Dies and Iridescent Sequins. 1)I inked on the watercolour paper with several Distress inks in rainbow order, added some water droplets. 2)Once dry, I cut stitched wide stripe from Stitched Borders 3 Dies out of inked papers, mounted them diagonally on the white cardstock. 3)To finish it off I embellished with 3 different 6mm iridescent sequins –Sunshine Glow, Peridot Mist, Bermuda Blue.
YoonsunHur-20150511-PPP-02I am so in love with PPP iridescent sequins. They are so bright and shine!!

YoonsunHur-20150511-PPP-03For my second card I used Stitched Borders 3 Dies and Enchanted Garden Embellishment Kit. Enchanted Garden set seems like freshly picked flowers from a charming cottage garden.

To create the card, 1)I die cut small scallop stitched line at the top and botton side of the watercolour panel. 2)I coloured flowers from MFT Modern Blooms Stamp set with various colours of Distress inks using water brush. 3)I mounted watercoloured panel as shown to the lemon yellow cardstock. 4)To finish it off I embellished some sequins & twine from the Enchanted Garden Embellishment Kit.

YoonsunHur-20150511-PPP-06For my last card, 1)I stamped flowers from Essentials by Ellen Bohemian Garden Stamp Set on the watercolour panel using embossing ink, white heat embossed. 2)I then coloured them with Distress markers. 3)I die cut curly bracket at the right edge of the coloured panel & yellow cardstock, adhered them together. 4)For the sentiment, I stamped ‘thanks’ from Essentials by Ellen Hello Gorgeous Stamp Set on the black cardstock using embossing ink, white heat embossed and then fussy cut it. 5)To finish it off I added some sequins & twine from the Enchanted Garden Embellishment Kit.
