MFT February Card Kit – Beautiful Butterflies Day 2

Welcome to MFT February Beautiful Butterflies Card Kit Countdown Day 2.

yoonsunhur-mft-febcardkit-day2-001For today’s card, I made monochromatic butterflies using Versamark embossing ink & black embossing powder in the kit. I stamped solid images from the Beautiful Butterflies set on white paper panel using Gravel Gray hybrid ink. Once the panel was dry, I stamped other details with Versamark embossing ink, then heat embossed with black embossing powder. Next, I die cut rectangle frame from black card stock using the Single Stitch Line Rectangle Frames Die-namics. For the sentiment, I heat embossed it from the You Give Me Butterflies set on the Wild Cherry card stock in white, then die cut it with the Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-namics. After mounting all elements on an A2 sized white card base, I embellished with a few PPP 3mm clear sequins.

Card Stock: Cotton Candy, Field Day, Lemon Chiffon, Orange Fizz, Ripe Raspberry, Sour Apple, Spearmint, Smooth White (5 sheets)
2 Sheets Translucent Vellum
Versamark Cube
Black Embossing Powder

New Mid Month Free with $60 Die-namics is the Sentiment Label Strip Die-namics.

Here is what I came up with:
yoonsunhur-mft-febcardkit-day1-001To start, I 1) Die cut a piece of watercolour paper using the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics. 2) Stamped the butterflies from the Beautiful Butterflies set randomly onto the watercolour paper panel using hybrid inks:
Red: Coral Crush (Base), Red Hot (Accents), Paver Red (Antennae)
Yellow: Pineapple, Latte, Chocolate Brown
Green: Sour Apple, Gumdrop Green, Green-Eyed Monster
Blue: Summer Splash, Blue Yonder, Lush Lagoon
Violet: Wild Wisteria, Grape Jelly, Razzle Berry
3) Watercoloured the background with Peerless watercolors and a wet paint brush. 4) Added some ink splatters (colours and opaque white). 5) Stamped the sentiment from the You Give Me Butterflies set on the bottom right corner in Black Licorice hybrid ink. 6) Mounted the panel on the Primitive White card base using foam tape.

The mid month Free with $60 die is the Stitched Tiny Tags Die-namics.

Here is what I came up with:
yoonsunhur-20170125-mft-jancardkit-day3-001I started by creating my own white-on-white background using the Lock & Key Die-namics. I die cut the heart key from white card stock several times, then adhered them diagonally on white paper panel using fine tip glue pen. I then die cut the houses from colour card stock using the Home Sweet Home Die-namics, assembled them using fine tip glue pen – these mini houses are so super adorable!! For the sentiment, I stamped it from the No Place Like Home set on off-white watercolour paper in Black Licorice hybrid ink, trimmed it with the fishtail banner die in the Blueprints 27 Die-namics, and then tied a natural twine bow. Finally, I mounted all elements as shown to the Grout Gray card base using foam tape.

Welcome to MFT January No Place Like Home Card Kit Countdown Day 2.

Here is what I came up with:
yoonsunhur-20170124-mft-jancardkit-day2-001To start, I die cut a piece of white card stock using the stitched panel in the Blueprints 28 Die-namics. Then I randomly stamped the flowers and leaves from the Fancy Flowers set in the December Fancy Flowers card kit all over the panel in Latte hybrid ink. I die cut the skeleton key from the Cherry Crisp and Silver Shine card stocks using the Lock & Key Die-namics, then mounted them on the stamped panel using foam tape. Before moving to next step, I added the button + string at the bottom of the panel.

yoonsunhur-20170123-mft-jancardkit-day1-001I started by stamping the flower clusters from the Fancy Flowers set in the December Fancy Flowers card kit on Smooth White card stock using Black Licorice hybrid ink, then coloured them with Copic markers – I used Post-It Notes to mask stamped images. Next, I die cut the large keyhole from the centre of the Primitive White stitched rectangle panel using the Lock & Key Die-namics in the kit. I die cut the heart key from the Cherry Crisp card stock, then added a Wink of Stella Clear. For the sentiment, I stamped it from the No Place Like Home set on the bottom of the front panel in Black Licorice hybrid ink. Lastly I mounted all elements as shown to the Cherry Crisp card base using foam tape.
