MFT Color Challenge 48

Hello crafty friends, welcome to My Favorite Things Color Challenge 48.
MFT-ColorChallenge-48For my card today, I used Wild Wisteria, Blu Raspberry, and Sour Apple – I particularly love this colour combination in the summer!

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20160623-MFTCC48-001To create this card, I 1) Die cut a piece of watercolour paper using the Stitched Mini Scallop Rectangle STAX Die-namics. 2) Stamped the flowers and leaves from the Large Desert Bouquet & Desert Bouquet sets randomly on watercolour paper panel in Wild Wisteria, Blu Raspberry, and Sour Apple hybrid inks – I used Mini MISTI stamping tool for crisp clean stamping. 3) Ink blended over the stamped panel with the same colours using mini ink blending tool, then added some pearl white ink splatters. 4) Die cut the word “Thanks” from white card stock using the Twice the Thanks Die-namics five times, then glued them together using fine tip glue pen. 5) Mounted the stamped panel on an A2 sized white card base using dimensional foam tape first, and then adhered the sentiment die cut on the bottom right corner of the card using fine tip glue pen. 6) Embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.

WPlus9 – Watercolour Flower Cards

Hello crafty friends!
I am very happy to be a guest for Wplus9 today! Wplus9 flower stamp is definitely the gem of my stamp collection. Oh, I am so honoured!
YoonsunHur-20160621-Wplus9-A001For my first card today, I used the new Beautiful Bouquet: Mums stamp set. First, I stamped the flower image on watercolour paper with VersaFine Onyx Black, then trimmed it with MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics. Next, I watercoloured them with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor using a paint brush. For the sentiment, I stamped it from the Beautiful Bouquet: Ranunculus set on the panel in black. Finally, I mounted the panel on an A2 sized kraft card base using dimensional foam tape.

YoonsunHur-20160621-Wplus9-B001Here is another watercolour flower card with my all-time favourite Botanical Bunch stamp set. I tried to create a subtle, yet lovely watercolour effect. First, I stamped the clustered flower image from the Botanical Bunch set at the top & bottom part of watercolour paper panel with Worn Lipstick Distress ink. I then brushed them with a bit of water using water brush. Next, I watercoloured the rest areas with Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Wild Honey, and Spiced Marmalade Distress inks using a wet paint brush, then added the Perfect Pearls Mist here and there. For the sentiment, I die cut the word “Hello” from white card stock using the Hand Lettered Hello die four times, glued them together using a fine tip glue pen. Once dry the panel, I mounted it on an A2 sized white card base using double-sided tape first, and then adhered the sentiment die cut at the centre of the card using a fine tip glue pen.

SSS Rainbow floral background

Hello crafty friends!
Today I want to share with you my rainbow flower card with my favourite Simon Says Stamp Leaves Background stamp.
YoonsunHur-20160614-SSS-001rainbowcardchallenge_logoLast week, I was tagged for the Rainbow Card Challenge by my oh-so-talented (seriously amazing) friend Debby Hughes. The Rainbow Card Challenge is that crafty people create a card with rainbow colours and tag two friends for fun! Oh, I love rainbow colours and am so excited to join!!

YoonsunHur-20160614-SSS-P01To create my rainbow subtle floral background, I directly coloured the SSS Leaves background stamp using Prima Water Soluble Oil Pastel at first. I then brushed the rainbow coloured background stamp with water using a wet paint brush and then stamped it on watercolour paper panel.
YoonsunHur-20160614-SSS-002Next, I added on the stamped panel a bit of water & white ink splatters. Once dry the panel, I stamped the Leaves Background all over the panel in Versamagic Cloud White opaque pigment ink once again. I die cut the word “YOU ARE MY FAVORITE” and then mounted the panel on kraft card base using dimensional foam tape.

To continue to see the rainbow awesomeness, I am tagging my amazingly talented friends Wanda Guess and Amy Lee – I know these two ladies are so busy at this time but I really wanna see their gorgeous rainbow projects!!

That’s it for today. Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy crafting!

It’s that time of year again: wedding season!! So today I want to share with you my floral wedding cards with the Simon Says Stamp products.
YoonsunHur-20160612-SSS-Both
YoonsunHur-20160612-SSS-A001For my first card, I created my own floral background with the SSS & Altenew Layered Flowers and Lovely Spring stamp sets. I randomly stamped the flowers and leaves on white paper panel using Altenew dye inks:

Leaves: (from lighter to darker) Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Evergreen
Floral wreath: Warm Sunshine
Tiny flowers: Deep Iris
Next, I die cut a separate white card stock using the Wavy Scallop Stitches Dies and then stamped the sentiment from the Congratulations set in VersaFine Onyx Black. I mounted the floral background on an A2 sized white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added the sentiment panel at the bottom of it using dimensional foam tape.
YoonsunHur-20160612-SSS-A002YoonsunHur-20160612-SSS-B001Here is another floral wedding card with the Flowers On My Mind and Lovely Spring stamp sets. I stamped the flowers and leaves on white paper panel with several colours of SSS & Hero Arts inks:
