My second card with the set:
YoonsunHur-20150401-NeatandTangled04For this card, I used matching die with the stamp set. The size of the Dala Horse die is a perfect as a focal point in card.

To create the card:
1)I drew the pencil line on the watercolour paper a bit bigger than actual size of the largest Dala horse die and then blended with Distress ink Peacock Feathers, Stormy Sky using mini blending tool. 2)Once completely dry, I randomly stamped mini blossoms using VersaMark Embossing ink and white heat embossed. 3)I spritzed a bit of fresh water on the stamped image for getting watercolour stains, dry it using heat tool and then die cut the Dala horse from the stamped paper. 4)For the background panel, I stamped mini blossoms on the white cardstock with grey pigment ink here and there and watercoloured in the middle of the stamped panel with Distress ink Mustard Seed using paint brush. 5)Using vellum paper, I covered whole area of the stamped background and machine stitched on the top, mounted it to the yellow cardstock. 6)To finish it off, I positioned the Dala horse, sentiment banner on the custom background panel, adhered them in place using dimensional foam tape, added mixed clear sequins.

YoonsunHur-20150401-NeatandTangled05I had a great time with this beautiful stamp & die set!

That’s it for today. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend!!

SSS Hop To It – Slumber Party

Hello crafty friends! Today I made no-line watercolour card -recently my most favourite technique- with Simon Says Stamps Hop To It Slumber Party Stamp Set.

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20150331-SSSHopToIt01Isn’t this girl so adorable? This cute girl alone is worth adding to my stamp collection :D

To create the card:
1)I die cut stitched rectangle panel from white cardstock using SSS Stitches Rectangles Die. 2)I die cut several elements -moon, stars, popcorn bowl, slipper, etc- from stamping mask paper using the dies that coordinate with a Slumber Party stamp set. I positioned the mask die cuts on the panel, adhered them in place. I then blended on the panel with distress inks –Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar– using blending tool, spritzed using Tsukineko Shimmer Spritz Sparkle. 3)I stamped the girl on the watercolour paper using Distress ink Antique Linen -Gearing up for no-line watercolouring!! 4)I coloured the girl with Distress markershairGathered TwigsVintage Photo / face: Tattered Rose / pajama: Barn Door, Worn Lipstick, Mustard Seed, Aged Mahogany / bear: Brushed Corduroy / slipper: Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire. 5)Inked panel have dried up, I removed the masks and stamped coordinating images in Vintage Sepia pigment ink in each space on the panel. 6)For the sentiment: I stamped it on the black cardstock using VersaMark Embossing ink and white heat embossed, fussy cute it. 7)Mixed clear sequins were the finishing touches.

For the background, I was inspired by Dawn of WPlus9 at Online Card Class Stretch Your Dies. (If you want to see my another cards with this technique click HERE!)

YoonsunHur-20150331-SSSHopToIt02YoonsunHur-20150331-SSSHopToIt03My teenage niece love this card SO much and she asked me to make 7 cards -exactly same design- for her sleepover birthday party in April lol! ;)

That’s it for today. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!!

SSS Hop To It – Cross

Hello crafty friends, happy Wednesday!
EASTER! Easter is almost amongst us!! So, today I made Easter cards with Simon Says Stamps Hop To It products again.

My first card here:
YoonsunHur-20150325-SSSHopToIt01As I mentioned before, I love SSS Cross die so much!

To create the card:
1)For the Cross: I sponged on the white cardstock with Distress ink Vintage Photo using blending tool and stamped Hero Arts Woodgrain Background on the inked panel using Distress ink Walnut Stain and die cut the Cross from the stamped paper. 2)I stamped Artful Flowers on the watercolour panel using VersaMark Embossing ink and white heat embossed at the top and bottom side of the panel. 3)I coloured the flowers with Distress markers using detailed waterbrushSalty Ocean, Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers, Broken China, and Mustard Seed. 4)I die cut the bottom side of the coloured panel using Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 2 Dies and layered with blue & wood stamped paper together. 5)I mounted the Cross in the middle of the panel using dimensional foam tape and added some clear sequins for finishing touches.

YoonsunHur-20150325-SSSHopToIt02I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.
(John 11: 25-26)

My second card here:
YoonsunHur-20150325-SSSHopToIt03To create the card:
I used Grid Stencil for my own background -I am so in love with this stencil!! 1)I layered grid stencil over the watercolour panel and blended with Distress inks in rainbow order using blending toolFestive Berries, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, Faded Jeans, and Seedless Preserves– and then added some water droplets on the background. 2)Once dry, I cut 2 part from the coloured background and put sentiment panel between them -I used Hand Lettered Encouragement stamp set for the sentiment. There are lots of great encouraging sentiments in this set. 3)To finish it off, I die cut the small sized cross from the white cardstock and affixed it right up on the sentiment panel using dimensional foam tape and added some clear sequins.

SSS Hop To It – Easter card

Hello crafty friends, happy weekend!
On this weekend, I want to share with you my Easter themed cards using SSS Hop To It Artful Flowers Stamp Set.

My first card here:
YoonsunHur-20150314-SSSHopToIt01I love every Hop To It product but especially, the crosses. SSS Cross dies are not fancy. It captures the Cross exactly how it looks like. But I believe, that is what makes the cross look more graceful and beautiful!

For my first card, I was inspired by fabulous Debby‘s amazingly beautiful card with Artful flower stamp set. 1)I stamped Artful Flowers on the watercolour paper panel using VersaMark Embossing Ink Pad and white heat embossed. I used some post-it notes to mask the flower images to stamp them overlapping. 2)I coloured the flowers with Distress markers as always :D –Worn Lipstick, Ripe Persimmon, Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed, and Dried Marigold. 3)I die cut a cross -largest one- from my coloured panel and lifted it up with a dimensional foam tape. 4)Some clear sequins were the finishing touches.

My second card here:YoonsunHur-20150314-SSSHopToIt04It was the same way with my cross card but, ‘Easter’ word at the centre of the flowers instead of a cross.
