Hello crafty friends, TGIF! We have another awesome Christmas release from Simon Says Stamp called “Holly Jolly” today! YAY!! For my card today, I used the Holiday Words background stamp along with the Sentiment Strips Slimline Christmas. Oh, I love this modern and fashionable diagonally holiday words background so much. First, I die cut an A2 sized panel from watercolour paper using the Basic Rectangle panel die. I then stamped Holiday Words onto watercolour paper panel with Fired Brick Distress ink. Some part I stamped with Candied Apple & Vintage Photo Distress inks – I used MISTI stamping tool for stamping several times. As you already know, Distress inks react with water so I roughly stamped, and then brushed each letter using water brush. Of course I added water drops here and there. Look! with Distress inks & water brush, we can easily make a pretty watercolour cards! I will share more bright & shine winter holiday cards tomorrow! So stay tuned. :D
Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy a safe and restful weekend!!

Hello crafty friends! Welcome to Day 2 of the Simon Says Stamp Make Merry Release Blog Hop. I’m especially excited to be a part of this amazing blog hop because it’s Christmas hop, woohoo!! If you arrived here from super talented Heather Hoffman’s blog you are on the right track! For my first card, I am featuring the new Center Cut Holiday Floral background stamp & the Deco Hat Gnome die. As many of you know watercolouring is my most favourite way to play with in my craft room! With these awesome goodies, I made a no-line watercoloured card. I stamped the holiday flowers on A2 sized watercolour paper panel using Antique Linen Distress ink first, and then coloured the stamped image with Tonic Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens: (Flowers & Berries)Red Apple, Wild Phlox (Leaves) Sliced Kiwi, Aqua Splash, Indigo Batik (Stems) Yellow Ochre, Caramel Pecan I coloured with Aqua Flow Pen first, then added water using water brush. Once the watercoloured panel was dry, I cut the centre of the panel using Stitched Circle die. For the Deco Hat Gnome, I die cut Deco Hat from several colour cardstock – Lipstick Red, Sunshine, Mint and Green Apple. For the sentiment, I used the CZ Design Joyful dies. Isn’t this gnome so cute?!! :D
For my second card, I used the Falling Leaves layering stencils & the Warm Hugs dies. with the first leaves stencil, I inked with Green Apple dye ink. The second leaves stencil, I inked with Green Leaf dye ink. The berries stencil, I inked with Lipstick Red dye ink. Lastly I laid acorn stencil over the panel, then inked with Rusty Hinge & Gathered Twigs Distress inks. For the sentiment, I used the Warm Hugs dies. It is so easy to make pretty card with layering stencils! :D For my last project for the hop, I made a very simple Christmas ornament ball with Warm Hugs dies. I made thick white “Warm Hugs” word die cut, then glued firmly to the bottom of the clear plastic ball using multi medium matte. I filled a clear ball with lots of clear sparkling sequins & glitters.

For my card today, I’m especially featuring soooooo beautiful Stylized Angel die and the Burst die! I simply die cut the Stitched Whirl Panel from kraft cardstock, the Stylized Angel from white & glitter white cardstock, the Believe sentiment from metallic gold cardstock. For the background, I dry embossed to the top part of the panel using the Burst die, applied pigment white ink to all edges. I die cut the Stylized Angel from white cardstock 6 times, then stacked them up using fine tip glue pen. I decorated a halo with some clear crystals. :D Oh, I LOVE this beautiful angel die so much!! Hello crafty friends, TGIF!
Today I have a couple of (kind of) traditional Christmas tree cards with the InLoveArts Christmas Tree die along with SSS products. I simply die cut all elements, Stitched Whirl Panel, Christmas Tree, Happy Christmas Sentiment from kraft & white cardstock. I then mounted the Stitched Whirl Panel on top-folded card base using double-sided tape first, and then added all die cuts onto the card using foam tape. I added opaque white ink splatters all over the panel, some crystals over the tree. I love kraft & white Christmas card sooooooo much!! :D This intricate Christmas Tree die is so pretty, isn’t it?
