Altenew Storybook Fantasy Release Blog Hop

I started by stamping the Fairy Tale Florals on the top-right corner of an A2 sized watercolour panel using Faded Jeans Distress ink. I then freely coloured the stamped image using water brush – I made blue no-line watercoloured flowers mixed with green. Distress inks react to water so, this technique is so fun!

For the sentiment on the bottom left, I stamped it from the Adore You set with Jet Black dye ink.

For my second card, I used the Floating Foliage 3D embossing folder along with the Fairy Tale Florals set. I placed an A2 sized watercolour panel inside the Floating Foliage 3D embossing folder and ran it through the die cutting machine first, and then smoothly ink blended onto the panel with pastel-toned Distress inks – I love this pattern!! I heat embossed the Fairy Tale Florals on vellum paper in white, then die cut it with the matching die. I mounted the background panel on white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added the vellum flower die cut & sentiment on the card.

For my foliage background panel, I applied some soft-coloured Distress inks using mini round blending tool first, and then added darker colours onto each leaf using brand new Detailed Blending Brushes. I love these detailed brushes like recently released watercolour brushes!!

Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Antique Rose Release Blog Hop

This month’s Altenew Craft-A-Flower set features a gorgeous Antique Rose!


I die cut flowers from shades of red, leaves from shades of green using the CAF Antique Rose Layering die set first, and then layered all pieces together using fine tip glue pen just the way the guidebook instructs it.

For the background, I dry embossed onto kraft paper panel using the Mod Squares 3D embossing folder. To blend in with the antique roses, I tore some parts of the background panel.



For my second card, I die cut flowers & leaves from watercolour paper, layered them together, and then watercoloured them with Distress inks.

SSS Hello Beautiful Blog Hop – Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Simon Says Stamp Hello Beautiful Blog Hop. I’m so happy to be a part of this amazing blog hop! If you arrived here from super talented Heather Hoffman’s blog you are on the right track.

As you can see, Simon’s exclusive Hello Beautiful products seem to give me spring as a gift! Beautiful flowers bloomed in my craft room, haha! For my first two floral cards, I used the beautiful Blooming Meadow set along with the Spring Birds and the Bitty Birdhouse set.

I started by stamping pretty birds from the Spring Birds set on white cardstock using Memento Desert Sand dye ink. I then coloured the stamped images with Copic markers, die cut them with the matching dies. Next, I die cut bird house from watercolour paper and then ink blended all the pieces using Rusty Hinge & Gathered Twigs Distress inks.


For the floral wreath, I stamped flowers & leaves from the Blooming Meadow set onto watercolour paper using Memento Desert Sand dye ink first, and then coloured them with several Distress inks. I used Festive Berries & Fired Brick for red flowers, Seedless Preserves for purple flower, Fossilized Amber & Wild Honey for yellow flowers and Mowed Lawn & Crushed Olive for leaves.



For this CAS floral card, I simply stamped flower petals & leaves from the Blooming Meadow set using several SSS dye inks – I used Lipstick Red & Rose Apple dye inks for red flowers, Lavender for purple flower, Clementine for yellow flower and Scuba for leaves. I stamped outlines with Gathered Twigs Distress ink. I then stamped the sentiment in Onyx Black, added tiny butterflies around the flowers.


These spring flowers and birds are so lovely, aren’t they?!!


For my last card for the hop, I used the Lavender Garden set. I stamped flowers & watering can onto watercolour paper using VersaFine Onyx Black, then watercoloured them with Distress inks.

Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Clematis & Artist Markers Release Blog Hop

My card today, I used the Fresh Cut Roses stamp set with brand new Nature’s Views 24 Artist Alcohol Markers. I started by stamping roses on the bottom right corner of A2 sized white paper panel using black dye ink. I then coloured the stamped image with some alcohol markers in the Nature’s Views 24 Artist Alcohol Markers.

Petals: I coloured to edge of each petal using the darkest colour marker, Milk Chocolate Y634 in the Water Garden set, first, and then blended with Hazelnut Y423 & Vanilla Cream Y401 markers.
Leaves: (from dark to light) I used Teal Cave B526, Dew Drops C007 and Firefly G503.
After colouring, I added texture using the Diamond Stars 3D Embossing Folder.

These new Nature’s Views 24 Artist Alcohol Markers are so beautiful!

Altenew Dies/Stencils/Embossing Folders Release Blog Hop

I love Altenew layering flower dies. It is definitely one of the brilliant ways to express beautiful floral cards!!

For my first two floral cards, I’m featuring the Climber Flowers Die Set along with the Diamond Stars 3D Embossing Folder.

I started by dry embossing on A2 sized white paper panel using the Diamond Stars 3D Embossing Folder. I then applied a light green ink on the centre of the background panel, added green & blue ink splatters all around the panel.

I die cut all pieces from blue & green coloured cardstock using the Climber Flowers Die Set, and then glued them as shown in the picture using a fine tip glue pen. For the sentiment, I used the word “Thank you” in the Flower Arrangement Die Set.

With this second floral card, I used the Modern Squares 3D Embossing Folder for my background panel. And I added red, yellow and blue flowers on the right side of the card.



For my last card for the hop, I used the Flower Bunch Simple Layering Stencil Set. I started with the foliage, then the flowers using several dye inks.
Leaves: Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades
Flowers: Buttercream, Warm Sunshine, Caramel Toffee and Moon Rock
Cone: Lavender Fields, Deep Iris
