Hello crafty friends!
Welcome to the Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Antique Rose Release Blog Hop. If you arrived here from Lilith Eeckels’s blog you are on the right track!
This month’s Altenew Craft-A-Flower set features a gorgeous Antique Rose!
I die cut flowers from shades of red, leaves from shades of green using the CAF Antique Rose Layering die set first, and then layered all pieces together using fine tip glue pen just the way the guidebook instructs it.
For the background, I dry embossed onto kraft paper panel using the Mod Squares 3D embossing folder. To blend in with the antique roses, I tore some parts of the background panel.
For my second card, I die cut flowers & leaves from watercolour paper, layered them together, and then watercoloured them with Distress inks.

Whoa! Those are each distinct and stunning!
Stunning cards. I especially love how you distressed the embossed background on the first card. Thanks!
So very pretty. Thanks for sharing
Such beautiful cards! That second one though…!
AMAZING!!! You are SO creative and talented! I love the touch of blue on the first card. The second card blew me away!! There is such depth and interest and beauty in the flowers!
Beautiful cards. Inspiring
For some reason, your roses look as if they have even more layers than anyone else’s. It must be your color choices that give everything more depth. I also like your idea of roughing up the card stock background to make it look antique. Both cards are just gorgeous.
Beautiful work! I love how layered your roses are and the colors are wonderful!!!!
Wow! What amazing cards! I like both of them! The colors are heavenly!
Lovely cards. Really like those torn corners. Such a neat but simple way to add more interest. Thanks for sharing!
The rose looks great on the embossed panel.
