Hello crafty friends, happy Wednesday!

MFT_WSC_294

Here is my take on the Sketch 294:
YoonsunHur-20160817-MFTWSC294-001
To create the card, I 1) Heat embossed the Whimsical Waves Background on watercolour paper panel in white. 2) Coloured the bottom part of the panel with Mermaid Lagoon Distress ink and a wet paint brush. 3) Stamped the banana boat and crabs from the Soak up the Fun set on a separate watercolour paper using Black Licorice hybrid ink, coloured them with Distress markers, and then die cut them with the Soak up the Fun Die-namics. 4) Heat embossed the sentiment from the set on the After Midnight card stock in white, and then die cut it using the sentiment strip die in the Blueprints 29 Die-namics. 5) Mounted the watercoloured wave panel on an A2 sized white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added all elements as shown to the card front using foam tape. 6) Embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!!

Pretty Pink Posh August Release Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends, happy Thursday!!
Welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh August Product Release Blog Hop! You should have arrived from amazingly talented Joni Andaya.
PPP-August-Bloghop-BannerToday I want to share my cards with the adorable new stamp sets along with other new Pretty Pink Posh goodies. PPP sequins always enhance my projects and the August release is no exception!!

YoonsunHur-20160811-PPP-A001For my first card, I used the new Camping Friends Stamp Set & Coordinating Dies. For the starry night background, I white heat embossed the moon and tiny stars from the set onto watercolour paper panel, then ink blended on it with Mermaid Lagoon, Faded Jeans, and Seedless Preserves Distress inks using mini ink blending tool. I then added Perfect Pearls Mist and opaque white ink splatters. For the ground, I ink blended with Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress inks. Next, I stamped the images from the set on a separate watercolour paper in VersaFine Onyx Black, watercoloured them with Distress markers, and then die cut them with the coordinating dies. Once the panel was completely dry, I mounted it on an A2 sized white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added all elements as shown to the card front using foam tape. I embellished with a few 3mm PPP clear sequins.
YoonsunHur-20160811-PPP-A002Camping under the stars, that’s a very exciting thing to think about!!

YoonsunHur-20160811-PPP-B001For my second card, I used the new Blissful Butterflies Stamp Set & Stitched Hexagons Dies. I love to create something beautiful and LOVE butterflies!! First, I randomly stamped the butterflies from the Blissful Butterflies set on watercolour paper panel using VersaMark Embossing ink, heat embossed them in white. I then watercoloured over the heat embossed images with Peerless watercolors and a wet flat brush. I added white ink splatters. Next, I die cut the Stitched Hexagon from heavy white card stock, stamped the sentiment on it in black ink. I stamped the butterflies on a separate white card stock in black, then fussy cut them. Once the watercoloured panel was dry, I mounted it on an A2 sized white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added all elements as shown to the card front using foam tape. I embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.

YoonsunHur-20160811-PPP-C001For my last card, I used the new Fox Friends Stamp Set & Coordinating Dies – Those foxes are so darling!! I simply stamped all three foxes from the set on watercolour paper in VersaFine Onyx Black, coloured them with Distress markers, and then die cut them with the coordinating dies. I stacked up foxes (as shown in the picture) using foam tape, and then added black sentiment, I used the Camping Friends stamp set, banner over them.
YoonsunHur-20160811-PPP-C002To finish it off, I embellished with a few Pewter Sequins (4mm, 6mm).

SSS Watercolour stripes

Hello crafty friends, happy weekend!!
I am just popping in to share my simple watercolour cards with some SSS exclusive products.

Watercolour stripes seem to be one of pattern trends that never goes away. I love to make my own watercolour stripes behind the large sized script sentiment! I think watercolour stripes make the focal point shine, always!!
YoonsunHur-20160730-SSS-A001For the yellow watercolour stripes, I used the No. 43 Mid Yellow of Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor. Once the panel was completely dry, I stamped the sentiment from the Oh Happy Day set in the SSS Masterpiece Box on the centre of the panel in pigment black, then added flowers around the sentiment areas.
YoonsunHur-20160730-SSS-B001Here is another card that I made the same way! I painted the stripes on watercolour paper panel using No. 34 Dark Pink of Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor. Once the panel was dry, I stamped the sentiment from the Look For The Miracles set on it in black pigment ink. Then I added stamped flowers using double-sided tape.
