SSS Summer Fun!!

Hello crafty friends, happy Sunday!
I hope you are having a wonderful sunny weekend, cold winter here in Sydney though. ;)
I made 2 cards using the new Summer Flowers stamp set along with other SSS products.
For the first card, I started by stamping the sentiment from the Oh Happy Day set onto the centre of the watercolour panel in VersaFine Onyx Black pigment ink, then summer flowers and leaves from the Summer Flowers set on the edges of the sentiment stamped panel in pigment black. I coloured all stamped images with Derwent inktense colored pencils first, and then lightly brushed them with water brush. I coloured the background with Cracked Pistachio Distress ink and a wet paint brush. Once the panel was completely dry, I die cut it with the Wonky Rectangle panel and then inked all edges of it with Scattered Straw Distress ink and mini ink blending tool. I mounted all elements as shown to white card base using foam tape.

For my second card, I used the Summer Flowers and the Summertime Animals stamp sets. I randomly stamped images from two stamp sets on an A2 sized watercolour paper panel in black and then coloured them with Peerless watercolors. Once the panel was dry, I die cut from the bottom right corner of the panel using the Stitches Circle die, decorated the panel with white twine. I stamped the sentiment (from the Summertime Animals set) on white card front in black pigment ink, and then mounted the watercoloured panel on it using foam tape.
Enjoy your summer!!

SSS Believe in You!

Hello crafty friends, happy Thursday!
Today I want to share with you a couple cards that I’ve made using the Simon Says Stamp Circular Lace stencil and the Believe stamp & die set.
When I see the Circular Lace stencil, it reminds me of “believe” word. I don’t know why but I think those items go well together!!

For my first card, I chose white & kraft colour combo. To create the background, I die cut the Wonky Rectangle panel from kraft card stock. I then laid the Circular Lace stencil over the kraft panel, taped it in place using washi tape, and then applied Wendy Vecchi White Embossing Paste using craft knife. Let dry!
For the sentiment, I die cut the word “believe” from metal silver card stock five times, then stacked them up using fine tip glue pen. Heat embossed the sentiment “in your dreams” from the Believe stamp set on Schoolhouse Red card stock in white. Once the background panel was completely dry, I mounted it on top-folded kraft card base using double-sided tape first, added a little bit of sparkle using shimmer silver spray ink, and then adhered sentiments using foam tape. To finished it off, I embellished with a few PPP gold sequins.

For my second card, I chose white, red, and black colour combo!! For the lace background, I used Festive Berries, Fired Brick Distress inks along with the Circular Lace stencil. After inking, I lightly brushed on the inked panel using water brush.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!

SSS Cherished Release Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!
Welcome to the Simon Says Stamp Cherished Release Blog Hop!! If you arrived here from Nina Marie Trapani’s blog you are on the right track!

Today I will be sharing with you my summer themed cards using brand new Summer Flowers Stamp Set, Circular Lace Stencil, and Wonky Rectangles Die Set.
As you can guess, my first card is watercolour flower card! :D I randomly stamped flowers and leaves from the Summer Flowers set on watercolour paper using VersaFine Vintage Sepia pigment ink, and then trimmed it down with the Wonky Rectangle panel die. I coloured them with Peerless watercolors and water brush. For the sentiment, I die cut the word “Delightful” from metal gold card stock five times, stacked them up using fine tip glue pen. Once the watercoloured panel was dry, I mounted it on an A2 sized top-folded kraft card base using double-sided tape first, and then added the sentiment die cut using fine tip glue pen.

For my second card, I used the Circular Lace stencil as my main supply. I laid the stencil over watercolour panel, and then inked with some Distress inks: Abandoned Coral, Scattered Straw, Crushed Olive, Victorian Velvet, and Cracked Pistachio. Once the inked panel was dry, I distressed all edges of the panel using Tim Holtz Paper Distresser.
For the sentiment, I used the Believe word die and the Believe stamp set. Around the sentiment, I added some vellum butterflies (from the Butterfly Drift die).

My last card is sunflower card. I heat embossed sunflowers from the Summer Flowers set on kraft panel in white, and then coloured them with Faber Castell polychromos pencils. For the sentiment, I used the Oh Happy Day stamp set.

SSS Father’s Day

Hello crafty friends!
Today I want to share with you my Father’s day card with the Simon Says Stamp Time For Wine stamp set and the Big Dad word die. I think wine is the best gift for dad. :)
To create the card, I 1) Cut watercolour paper to 5 ½” x 4 ¼” using the Basic Rectangle die. 2) Ink blended the panel with Seedless Preserves, Festive Berries, Scattered Straw Distress inks and mini ink blending tool. 3) Brushed the inked panel using a wet flat brush, added water droplets. Allow to dry completely. 4) Die cut the bottom of the panel using the Big Dad word die (I inlaid white “DAD” die cuts instead). 5) Stamped images from the Time For Wine set on watercolour paper using VersaFine Onyx Black pigment ink, coloured them with Distress markers, then fussy cut them. 6) Heat embossed the sentiment from the Mom and Dad Icons set on black card stock in white. 7) Mounted all elements as shown to A2 white card base using foam tape. 8) Embellished with a few PPP clear droplets.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy crafting!!
