Spellbinders May Large Die of the Month

Hello crafty friends, happy weekend!
Today I have a couple of floral cards to share with you using the Spellbinders May Large Die Kit.
This month’s kit features 3 swirly leaves and 4 flowers, they are so beautiful!!

Here is what I came up with:
For my first card, I created a floral Mother’s day card. I die cut flower from watercolour paper several times, then adhered them onto watercolour paper panel using glue pen. I ink blended on the panel with Festive Berries, Tattered Rose, and Scattered Straw Distress inks. I then freely brushed the inked panel using a wet paint brush. Once the panel was completely dry, I mounted it on white card base using double-sided tape.
For the sentiment, I used the SSS CZ Design Love You Mama Stamp Set.

For my second card, I made a CAS card! I die cut from dark grey panel using one of swirly leaves in the kit, die cut from white card stock using the same leaf die, and then inlaid the white die cut in place. I added red flowers and white enamel dots.
If you haven’t subscribe yet, please go ahead and subscribe to the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month! You can get a beautiful die set at a great price!!

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend!

SSS Best Mom

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!!
Today I have a floral Mother’s Day card to share with you using the SSS Best Mom Stamp Set I designed.
It’s a perfect set for the Mother’s day projects but we can use it all year round because we love mum every single second of every single day, right?!! :)

I started by stamping it onto watercolour paper using the Altenew Sand Dunes dye ink – I used MISTI for stamping. I watercoloured the stamped image with Derwent Inktense Colored Pencils, and then fussy cut it out.
I die cut white card stock using the SSS Stitched Whirl Background Die, and then adhered it onto white card base using double-sided tape. I added the watercoloured image on the card front using foam tape, accented the tiny butterfly die cuts (from the SSS Flickering Butterflies Die) and the PPP sparkling clear sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!

SSS Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes

Hello crafty friends and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. It’s already the last week of April. Wow, time flies!!

Today I have a watercoloured rose card to share with you using MFT Roses All Over background stamp.I started by stamping roses from the MFT Roses All Over background stamp on watercolour paper using Altenew Sand Dunes dye ink, then trimmed it down using A2 sized rectangle panel die in the SSS Basic Rectangles die set. Next, I coloured the stamped roses with 24 Staedtler Ergo Soft Aquarell Watercolour Pencils. I coloured the edge of each petal with pencil first, and then brushed them using water brush. I die cut three of butterflies from heavy weight white card stock using the MFT Flutter of Butterflies Lace Die-namics – my favourite butterfly die set! I then inked the bottom half of them with Tattered Rose Distress ink.
For the sentiment, I used the MFT Essential Sentiments stamp set.

SSS Wednesday Challenge: Sparkle and Shine

Hello crafty friends, I am back with you this week to share a Mother’s Day card I’ve created using newly released SSS Fluttering By products: Center Cut Flowers, Script Mom, Flickering Butterflies, Woodgrain Block, and Messages For Everyday.
Here is what I came up with:

I started by stamping the center floral from the Center Cut Flowers background stamp on watercolour paper using Barely Beige dye ink because of no-line colouring. I coloured the stamped image with Faber-Castell polychromos pencils. In my flowers, I coloured the half of each petal & leaf image with pencils, and then brushed them using (lightly) oiled blending stump – I used Zest-it Pencil Blend but you can use baby oil for blending oil pencils!
I have 120 polychromos pencils but you don’t need to buy too many all at once. 12 basic colour set, it’s good enough for you to try!
After colouring, I die cut the Woodgrain Block from white card stock.

I mounted the woodgrain panel on top-folded white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added coloured flower image, sentiment die cut, tiny butterflies on the card front using foam tape. For the sentiment, I used the Script Mom dies & Messages For Everyday stamp set.
To finish it off, I added these yummy fruity Nuvo Jewel Drops around the flowers!!
