With Chibi Lights, I decided to make a Christmas card using the Fireplace Die-namics.
YoonsunHur-20160824-MFT-ChibiLight-001To start, I heat embossed the sentiment from the Hand Lettered Holiday set on the bottom of the Cherry Crisp paper panel in white. Then I made a cozy fireplace scene with the Fireplace Die-namics, adhered vellum paper to the back of the fireplace, and then mounted it on the same paper panel using foam tape.
YoonsunHur-MFT-ChibiLightsOn the Cherry Crisp card base, I set up all the electrical components. I positioned the battery behind the sentiment, and (white) LED stickers behind the fire.
YoonsunHur-20160824-MFT-ChibiLight-004Yay! My interactive cozy fireplace card is ready!!
YoonsunHur-20160824-MFT-ChibiLight-005Isn’t it cool? Seriously, I love this brilliant kit!!

Starting in August, we have a new free with $60 die available for our customers with every kit release. It will be the free die (while supplies last) for the duration of the month until the next release. The new Free with $60 die for August is the Thanks Die-namics.

YoonsunHur-20160823-MFT-CardKit-A001For my first card, I made my own floral background with the Stitched Flowers Die-namics in the kit.
YoonsunHur-20160823-MFT-CardKit-A003To start, I die cut the stitched flowers and leaves from watercolour paper using the Stitched Flowers Die-namics, and then adhered them on an A2 sized watercolour paper panel using double-sided tape and fine tip glue pen.
YoonsunHur-20160823-MFT-CardKit-A004I trimmed the edges of the panel, then ink blended on it with Distress inks using mini ink blending tool – I used Festive Berries, Wild Honey, Worn Lipstick, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, Faded Jeans, and Seedless Preserves Distress inks. After doing some ink bleding, I spritzed with perfect pearls mist, added some white ink splatters all over the panel – I wanted to add a bit of shine and sparkle to my card.
YoonsunHur-20160823-MFT-CardKit-A005Once the panel was completely dry, I mounted it on an A2 sized white card base using double-sided tape, and then lifted each petal using my fingertips for beautiful 3D effects!
YoonsunHur-20160823-MFT-CardKit-A002
YoonsunHur-20160823-MFT-CardKit-B001For my second card, I made a beautiful bouquet with the Stitched Flowers Die-namics. First, I cut the Peek-a-Boo Polka Dots Die-namics from white card stock. I then die cut the flowers and leaves from colour card stocks using the Stitched Flowers Die-namics. I mounted the panel on white card base using foam tape first, and then arranged all flowers and leaves, adhered them using foam tape.
YoonsunHur-20160823-MFT-CardKit-B002YoonsunHur-20160823-MFT-CardKit-C001For my last card, I made a floral wreath with the Stitched Flowers Die-namics – I loooove these dies!! I coloured the flowers & leaves with watercolour pencils. For the sentiment, I used the Thanks Die-namics (the free with $60 die for August).

MFT WSC 294

Hello crafty friends, happy Wednesday!
Today I want to share with you my card for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 294.
MFT_WSC_294

Here is my take on the Sketch 294:
YoonsunHur-20160817-MFTWSC294-001
To create the card, I 1) Heat embossed the Whimsical Waves Background on watercolour paper panel in white. 2) Coloured the bottom part of the panel with Mermaid Lagoon Distress ink and a wet paint brush. 3) Stamped the banana boat and crabs from the Soak up the Fun set on a separate watercolour paper using Black Licorice hybrid ink, coloured them with Distress markers, and then die cut them with the Soak up the Fun Die-namics. 4) Heat embossed the sentiment from the set on the After Midnight card stock in white, and then die cut it using the sentiment strip die in the Blueprints 29 Die-namics. 5) Mounted the watercoloured wave panel on an A2 sized white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added all elements as shown to the card front using foam tape. 6) Embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.

Next, I die cut the Essential Cover-Up Horizontal from white card stock to make the shaker panel, adhered the acetate sheet back of it, and then stamped the sentiment from the Essential Sentiments set on the front of the shaker panel in Black Licorice hybrid ink.
