MFT September Release Countdown – Day 1

Hello crafty friends!
Welcome to the My Favorite Things September Release Countdown Day 1. We’ve reached the final day of the countdown and all of the new products will be available at 10 pm ET today in the MFT store.
NewReleaseCountdown_Day1Today I want to share with you the autumn themed card that I’ve made using the Fall Friends stamp setDie-namics and Chevron Grid stencil along with the Circle Spinner Channels Die-namics.
YoonsunHur-SEPT-MFTRC-Day1-001To start, I made my own background on watercolour paper using the Chevron Grid stencil. I laid down the stencil on the watercolour paper, gently dabbed on it with Crushed Olive, Wild Honey, and Rusty Hinge Distress inks using mini ink blending tool. After removing the stencil, I trimmed the inked paper using the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics, then lightly brushed the chevron background using a wet paint brush. Once the panel was dry, I made the spinner circle with the Circle Spinner Channels Die-namics to have a little more playful and fun card!
YoonsunHur-SEPT-MFTRC-Day1-002For the main images, I stamped them from the Fall Friends set on watercolour paper using Black Licorice hybrid ink, coloured them with Peerless watercolors, then die cut them with the Fall Friends Die-namics.

MFT September Release Countdown – Day 2

Hello crafty friends, happy Monday!
Welcome to the My Favorite Things September Release Countdown Day 2.
NewReleaseCountdown_Day2Today I am featuring one of my favourite die sets called Tea Party!
YoonsunHur-SEPT-MFTRC-Day2-A001To start, I die cut teapot from watercolour paper using the Tea Party Die-namics, then stamped flowers and leaves from the Bold Blooms set on the tea pot die cut using hybrid inks: (Red) Red Hot & Paver Red / (Yellow) Pineapple & Latte / (Green) Sour Apple & Green-Eyed Monster. I die cut teapot top from the Wild Cherry card stock, butterfly from white card stock using the Flutter of Butterflies Lace Die-namics. For the floral background, I heat embossed flowers and leaves from the Bold Blooms set on watercolour paper panel in clear, then ink blended on it with Tattered Rose, Wild Honey, Victorian Velvet Distress inks using mini ink blending tool, and then trimmed the bottom of the panel using the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges Die-namics. I mounted all elements as shown to the Primitive White card base using foam tape. For the sentiment, I used the Cup of Tea stamp set.

MFT September Release Countdown – Day 5

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!
Welcome to the My Favorite Things September Release Countdown Day 5.
NewReleaseCountdown_Day5Today I am featuring the Geometric Greenery and Llama Love Stamp Sets.

For my first card, I used the Geometric Greenery stamp set.
YoonsunHur-SEPT-MFTRC-Day5-B001To start, I stamped the leaves from the set onto the cold press watercolour paper panel using Black Licorice hybrid ink, and then loosely coloured them with Peerless watercolors. Once the panel was dry, I added stitched strips at the bottom of the panel using the Stitched Strip Die-namics. I stamped the sentiment in Black Licorice hybrid ink, and then mounted the panel on an A2 top folded white card base using foam tape.

For my second card I played with so cheerful Llama Love stamp set.
YoonsunHur-SEPT-MFTRC-Day5-A001To start, I die cut a piece of watercolour paper using the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics. I then randomly stamped the images from the set on watercolour paper panel using Black Licorice hybrid ink, coloured them with Peerless watercolors. I mounted the panel on the Primitive White card base using foam tape.

MFT August Creative Construction with Blueprints

Hello crafty friends, welcome to the My Favorite Things August Creative Construction with Blueprints Challenge!
MFT-CCB-BannerBlueprints feature many innovative designs that make it so easy to add interest to your projects without a lot of unnecessary effort. Frames that feature multiple openings allow you to compartmentalize and feature numerous images and sentiments without the monotony involved in aligning a variety of dies. This month, we’re shining a spotlight on Blueprints that include these fantastic elements.

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20160830-MFT-CCB001For my card today, I used tri-window frame in the Blueprints 29 Die-namics as the windows in a cozy brick house. First, I made a brick pattern using the English Brick Wall Stencil. I laid the stencil over the watercolour paper panel, coloured with Vintage Photo Distress ink using mini ink blending tool, and then lightly brushed the bricks with water using paint brush. For the inside the house, I stamped so adorable kitties from the Cool Cat set on a separate watercolour paper in pigment black ink, coloured them with Distress markers. For the light yellow curtains, I die cut them from the Lemon Chiffon card stock using the Classic Window Die-namics.
