SSS Holiday Wishes

Hello crafty friends!
Oh my, the end of August already?! Time goes really fast! It’s time to start thinking about the holidays! (I can’t believe it’s already THAT time of year.) So today I have another Christmas card to share with you using so beautiful SSS Chisholm Wreath Dies.
YoonsunHur-20160831-SSS-001To start, I created my own watercolour background on cold press watercolour paper panel with Festive Berries and Wild Honey Distress inks using a wet paint brush. I added white ink splatters. Once the panel was dry, I stamped the sentiment from the Big Scripty Greetings Holiday set on the bottom of the panel using VersaFine Onyx Black. I die cut all elements for building a Christmas wreath using the Chisholm Wreath Dies. I mounted all elements as shown to an A2 sized white card base using foam tape.

SSS Blessed

Hello crafty friends!
Today I am just popping in to share my baby card using the SSS Shine On stamp set.
YoonsunHur-20160830-SSS-001To start, I randomly stamped one of the star images in the Shine On set onto cold press watercolour paper panel using VersaMark embossing ink. I ink blended on it with several Distress inks using mini ink blending tool: Fired Brick, Wild Honey, Peacock Feathers, and Faded Jeans. I then added clean water over the blended panel using a wet paint brush. For the sentiment, I cut the word “blessed” out of white card stock. For the moon, I stamped it from the Shine On set on white card stock using VersaFine Onyx Black, then coloured the cheek using Worn Lipstick Distress marker. For those tiny stars, I die cut the Stacked Stars from white card stock and then used the mini star cuts not the panel. I mounted all elements as shown to the top-folded Fog Gray card base using foam tape.

MFT August Creative Construction with Blueprints

Hello crafty friends, welcome to the My Favorite Things August Creative Construction with Blueprints Challenge!
MFT-CCB-BannerBlueprints feature many innovative designs that make it so easy to add interest to your projects without a lot of unnecessary effort. Frames that feature multiple openings allow you to compartmentalize and feature numerous images and sentiments without the monotony involved in aligning a variety of dies. This month, we’re shining a spotlight on Blueprints that include these fantastic elements.

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20160830-MFT-CCB001For my card today, I used tri-window frame in the Blueprints 29 Die-namics as the windows in a cozy brick house. First, I made a brick pattern using the English Brick Wall Stencil. I laid the stencil over the watercolour paper panel, coloured with Vintage Photo Distress ink using mini ink blending tool, and then lightly brushed the bricks with water using paint brush. For the inside the house, I stamped so adorable kitties from the Cool Cat set on a separate watercolour paper in pigment black ink, coloured them with Distress markers. For the light yellow curtains, I die cut them from the Lemon Chiffon card stock using the Classic Window Die-namics.

SSS Happy Santas

Hello crafty friends, happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!!
Today I have a fun Christmas card to share with you using the Perfect Shapes dies. The set contains basic hexagons, triangles, and squares and I used the largest triangle shape (1.3″ x 1.3″) to my card.

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20160829-SSS-001To start, I die cut Santa’s hat from the Lipstick Red card stock using triangle die in the Perfect Shapes die set. I then die cut Santa’s nose from the same Lipstick Red card stock using tiny circle die in the Cuddly Critters Accessories die set. Next, I stamped the sentiment from the For To Us set on the top of the A2 white paper panel in VersaFine Onyx Black. I adhered the triangle and circle die cuts (as shown in the picture) on the stamped panel using foam tape, and then drew eyes using black Copic Multiliner.

Concord & 9th Birthday Bash Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends, happy weekend!
I’m so excited (and honoured) to join Concord & 9th for their month-long birthday celebration!!
C9-Birthday-BannerToday I have a card to share with you using my favourite (sadly retired) Written in the Stars stamp set.
YoonsunHur-20160827-Concord9-001I made a simply one layer card with the set. I heat embossed the night sky on the top half of watercolour paper panel in white, and then coloured it with Mermaid Lagoon, Wild Honey Distress inks and paint brush. I stamped the sentiment on the bottom half of the panel in VersaFine Onyx Black.
