SSS STAMPtember® 2021 Party!!

Hello crafty friends, happy STAMPtember 2021!
Today we have a huge STAMPtember Party with lots and lots of super talented cardmakers. I am SO SUPER excited and honoured to be a part of this awesome party! YAY!!

For my card today, I’m featuring brand new, and really awesome, Crystal Distortion embossing folder along with other SSS goodies.

At first, I made a autumn coloured background with the Crystal Distortion embossing folder. I applied (from the top left to bottom right) Tea Dye, Bundled Sage, Scattered Straw and Dried Marigold Distress inks onto the Crystal Distortion embossed panel using mini round ink blending tools. Oh, I love the new Crystal Distortion embossing folder so much. It is a MUST-HAVE item!!

I added water drops & ink splatters, then tore the top and bottom of the ink blended panel for a vintage autumn look. :D For the sunflower on the centre of the card, I used the Sunflower Petals die set. I die cut all pieces from watercolour paper, then inked each die cut using some Distress inks:
Petals: Fossilized Amber & Rusty Hinge
Centre: Walnut Stain & Rusty Hinge.
For the green leaves, I used the Detailed Rose die set. I die cut solid & detailed leaves from watercolour paper first, and then inked with Crushed Olive Distress ink.

The floral – soft and lovely – is juxtaposed against the geometric background – fantastic! Love the wash of color in the background. That embossing folder is awesome! GREAT JOB!

I loved it before it was torn, but tearing it gives it a very nice but different vibe. You can probably tell mixed media isn’t my thing although I love seeing it. I just don’t seem to work in layers like that. TFS
