SSS Holly Jolly Release Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends, happy weekend!
Welcome to the Simon Says Stamp Holly Jolly Release Blog Hop. Woohoo!! If you arrived here from super talented Lisa Addesa’s blog you are on the right track!

For my card today, I’m featuring the Scattered Stars stencil along with the CZ Design Joy Script die. First, I die cut snowflakes from thick white cardstock using the Lea Snowflake & Daphne Snowflake dies. I carefully applied glossy accent onto both snowflake die cuts, and then sprinkled Unicorn Confetti Glitters onto them. Woo hoo, I love, love, love these sparkling snowflakes! I left them aside to dry.

Ohhh.. I love star shapes! First, I applied several dark coloured Distress inks onto A2 sized watercolour paper panel using the new blender brushes – I used Mermaid Lagoon, Chipped Sapphire, Seedless Preserves and Black Soot Distress inks. I laid the Scattered Stars stencil over the panel, then applied Gina K Designs Iridescent Glitz Glitter Gel. Super shiny, isn’t it?!!

I want to show you a little closer! :D

For the sentiment, I used the CZ Design Joy Script dies – it is definitely one of my favourites among entire new products.

It is that I posted yesterday, the release day, but just share it again for those who haven’t seen it. I used the Holiday Words Background stamp. Please click HERE if you want to know more details. :)

  1. Your snowflake card is spectacular!
From the sparkling snowflake to the beautiful colors you chose for the ink blending.
Thanks for the inspiration! LOVE this new release!

  2. Fabulous cards! Love the colors and ink blending on your first card! Beautiful stars, snowflakes and sentiment! Lovely details! Awesome background and image on your Santa card!

  3. Just beautiful! The dimension and textures make them extra special! These would definitely be a keepsake card. Like the crinkled edges, never think to do that on a Christmas card, nice effect.

  4. YOONSUN, this joyous card B E A U T I F U L! This bold background really pops all your frosted snowflakes quite nicely, especially with the dimension you added. Thank you for sharing your cards with us.

  6. I love star gazing and your card recreated the starry night perfectly with all of its shining glory on your first card! So beautiful.

  7. How pretty your first card is. Seeing it up close makes it even more special. I love the colors, the sparkle, everything…

  8. Joy Card is pretty. The one that captured my heart (and smile) was Santa and his sleigh “on the fly”! The sentiment and angles gave my spirit a lift off. Thank you for that.

  9. You could stick a snowflake on most anything & I would like it, but it’s way better when it’s on something beautiful like your card. Great job!

  10. Hi,
I love the starry card with the glitter paste. That is an exceptional example! I also adore the red/green Santa’s sleigh card. I especially like the background of the Santa sleigh card. It creates a nice counterpoint to the sleigh, Santa and reindeer figures. Blessings on you now and always!
