Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Happy Thursday crafty friends!
Welcome to the Altenew Winter Wonderland Watercolor Brush Markers Release Blog Hop. If you arrived here from Zinia Redo’s blog you are on the right track!
Create stunning works of art with the Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers! The barrel is filled with water-based color, and coordinates with our line of inks. The flexible, yet sturdy bristles on the brush tip allow you to form both broad and fine strokes. Color can be applied straight from the marker, or diluted with water for a softer look.
For today’s cards, I especially used the Ruby Red, Citrus Burst, Lagoon, and Espresso.

I stamped roses from the Amazing You set on watercolour paper panel using black pigment ink first, and then coloured all stamped images with brand new Winter Wonderland Watercolor Brush Markers:
Red roses: Mixed with Ruby Red, Rouge, and Citrus Burst
Dark green leaves: Emerald
Teal green leaves: Lagoon
I watercoloured the stamped image using brush marker first, and then mixed up with water using water brush. Once the watercoloured image was dry, I coloured all edges of each stamped image using brush marker again (as shown in the picture).

Here is another watercoloured red rose card with the Winter Wonderland Watercolor Brush Markers. I stamped a flower cluster from the Forever and Always set on watercolour paper using black pigment ink, watercoloured it, and then die cut it with the Forever and Always die.

  1. Yoonsun, your roses are water colored so magnificently! These markers get more better with each example I view. The roses are spectacular and you only used three colors!–I see you focused on those three colors; but still the wide expanse of your color range is, truly stunning. Blessings!

  2. I’ve subscribed to your blog for a few years now and the cards you made for this hop are some of the prettiest I have ever seen. I love the rich color you achieved with the new Altenew markers and the images are beautiful, too. Thanks for sharing these great designs! Have a great weekend!

  3. Stunning watercolored cards. The flowers look so vibrant and I love that you didn’t use a typical green for your leaves. Thanks for the inspiration.

  4. A stellar job on both cards Yoonsun. These colours are so deep and rich, they are gorgeous yet they can be so soft and pretty too when diluted. Well done.

  5. Hi Yoonsun! Your work really shines for the Lord :) Yes, I too follow Him! Your cards are stunning!!! I love the way you painted the edges of your flowers with the silver metallic watercolor brush :) Shine on sis!
