SSS Fun and Festive Release Blog Hop

Happy Friday, crafty friends! I’m so excited to be a part of the Simon Says Stamp Fun and Festive Release Blog Hop! You may be starting the hop here or coming from Yana’s blog and seeing her amazing cards, either way I hope you enjoy all the fabulous inspiration from the hop!

Yay! I enjoy this time of the year the best! It is quite clear that we will be a busy bee creating Christmas cards in the fall/winter season. :D

For my first card, I used the Therefore Background Stamp along with the Dancing Deer & Rina Snowflake Dies. I stamped script sentiment on watercolour paper panel using VersaFine Onyx Black. I then roughly watercoloured to the stamped panel using Altenew Watercolor 36 Pan Set, added opaque white ink splatters.
I die cut Dancing Deer from glitter white card stock & Rina Snowflakes from white card stock. Once the background panel was dry, I mounted the panel on white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added all others using foam tape.

For my second card, I used the Mod Trees Background Stamp along with the CZ Design Merry Die & Winter Scene Set. I stamped Mod Trees on watercolour paper using light coloured dye ink first, and then trimmed it with Stitched Rectangle panel die. I then watercoloured over the stamped images. For the sentiment, I used the CZ Design Merry Dies.
I stamped & watercoloured deers & trees from the Winter Scene set, die cut them with the matching dies, and then adhered them between sentiments using foam tape.

I’m a classic red, green, kraft and white Christmas colour combo type of person, what about you?

  1. Beautiful cards. I love the watercolored background on the first card and the tree background card is very pretty done in multiple colors. So bright and cheery

  2. Beautiful holiday cards, LOVE LOVE LOVE the water coloring! You have more patience than I do – to color in all those cute lil’ trees! It looks stunning!

  3. Both of your cards are fabulous today! I always love your creations and get so much inspiration from from you. I like traditional Christmas colour combos but I also like non-tradiditonal colour combos too LOL, mostly I just love Christmas and all things Happy and Merry :) Thanks for sharing today and as always the inspiration to keep practicing and making. 4. Beautiful cards! Love the watercoloured background on the Dancing Deer Card, very non-traditional, yet perfect for the Holidays! The 2nd card is adorable – love the little scene added to the colourful background!

  5. Beautiful cards! Loved your technique with stamping the background stamp lightly then watercoloring in all the trees. The look is fabulous! xoxo

  6. I love both of your cards! They are so pretty & look very Christmasy. However, I don’t own a die cutter so making the first card is out. I do own some punches though & I could make the second one or at least try too. I love, love, love, love, the colorful background! When I win, I want that stamp! I would look so cool on my Christmas cards & it’s colorful, like me! I love red, green, silver & gold for Christmas colors on my cards. Sometimes I might use a few other colors but those are my go to colors, the colors I mostly use.
Thank you for showing us your pretty creative cards & for giving us the chance to win something. I’m off to see what other great cards there are on the hop.
