SSS World Card Making Day

Hello crafty friends, happy World Card Making Day!!
To celebrate this special day, I have a couple of fun Christmas cards with the SSS Ornate Ornaments stamp & die set.

White on kraft is the perfect for Christmas projects! I heat embossed beautiful ornaments from the Ornate Ornaments set on kraft card stock with white embossing powder, coloured them with Faber-Castell polychromos colored pencils, and then die cut them with the matching dies.
For the swirly background, I die cut Stitched Rectangle panel from kraft card stock first, and then added patterns using the Stitched Whirl Background die. I also added opaque white ink splatters all over the panel. I mounted the kraft panel on white card base using double-sided tape first, and then adhered ornaments & sentiment banner using foam tape.

Here is another card with the Ornate Ornaments stamp set. I stamped all images using VersaFine Onyx Black first, and then watercoloured them with Altenew Watercolor 36 Pan Set.
Red and white twine is a great way of adding a special touch to Christmas projects!

Make sure to check out the Simon Says Stamp Blog HERE for more inspiration from other super talented card makers!

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!

  1. Both are amazing cards but the one on Kraft is over the top. I never would have thought to put a Christmas card on kraft paper. It is so striking and really makes the ornaments pop. Great job

  2. BOTH of your cards are WONDERFUL, Yoonsun!!! I ESPECIALLY LOVE your second card with the water coloring! LOVE the free way you did the water coloring! It ALWAYS AMAZES ME & draws me in the free water color look!

  3. Your cards are beautiful Yoonsun! You do such a fabulous job coloring your images, whether it’s pencil or watercolors. Thanks for sharing your amazing talents with us.

  4. Wow! These are both beautiful cards. I love the colours chosen for both. The kraft background makes the ornaments really pop…

  5. O my! Both your cards are beautiful but that first card is my fav! The kraft paper with the white splatters on the embossed background adds so much texture and interest but doesn’t distract from those gorgeous ornaments. Love it!! And, once again, your watercolouring is done so beautifully on the second card.
