Altenew February 2018 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello crafty friends! Welcome to the Altenew February 2018 Release Blog Hop! If you arrived here from Yana Smakula’s blog you are on the right track!
My cards today, I am featuring the Forever and Always and the Happy Bloom sets – These two flower sets are truly gorgeous!!
For my first card, I made a watercolour flower card with the Forever and Always stamp & die set. I stamped a flower bouquet onto watercolour paper in pigment black first, coloured it with watercolours, and then die cut it with the matching die. I watercoloured the background panel with shades of pink.
I mounted the watercoloured panel on Spicy Yogurt card base using glue tape first, and then all elements as shown to card front using foam tape.
I stamped the sentiment from the Forever and Always set inside the card in black. Oh, that sentiment is so romantic!!

For my second card, I used the Happy Bloom stamp set. I stamped flowers & leaves randomly onto white paper panel in black dye ink. I then coloured the background with the Artist Markers Set A: (from light to dark) Sea Glass, Ocean Waves, Desert Night. For the stamped flowers & leaves, I coloured them with polychromos pencils.

  1. Yoonsun, I LOVE the your watercoloring. Both of these cards are my favorites! You always seem to use such happy colors in your art. Just makes us smile! Beautiful Altenew products again!

  2. Absolutely stunning cards. The blue ‘Happy Bloom stamps’ is definitely my favourite of the two. The blues are aptley names after the ocean and are just GORGEOUS. Im thankful to Yoonsun for being in Altenew February’s release. Love it. 😍😍😍💖💜

  4. I did not think I needed any more floral stamps. But you have proved me wrong. These are amazing! Thank you for sharing your creativity!

  5. I love the Happy Blooms set so very much. It seems very versatile. I have not watercolored blooms very much so will have to give that a try.

  6. I like the unexpected pops of colors like blue and yellow in your bouquet; it still looks perfectly valentine/love-like, but with some extra interest. And that second one. *swoon* I love the monochrome, but with the beautiful contrast of textures between the alcohol markers and the pencils. So beautiful and delicate. Thanks so much for sharing!

  7. I love to use my Twinkling H2O’s but I’ve never used my water color paper. I just use white card stock. I have to start using my water color paper when I use my watercolors.
I love how colorful your first card is and I love how the die cut on the bottom looks like lace. I wish I had a die cutter so I could do that but then I remembered that I have a punch that is for the edge of a card. I have to use it more often because it is pretty like yours and will look like a die cut. I love that stamp too.
I also love all the different colors of blue in your last card. I love flowers and try to plant them outside. However we have mutant ninja squirrels in our yard who love flowers too and they don’t always grow because of them. With flower stamps the mutant ninja squirrels can’t get to them and they will stay beautiful forever.
Thank you for showing us your 2 beautiful and colorful cards and for giving us the chance to win something. When I win I want these 2 stamps.
