Altenew Stamp Focus: Just Because

Happy Monday crafty friends! I hope you had a wonderful World Card Making Day last weekend. I’m up on the Altenew blog with my three floral cards using the newly released (and so gorgeous) Altenew Just Because stamp set. I love this set so much!!

For my first card, I made a watercolour card using watercolour pencils and water brush. I stamped larger arch-shaped flower bouquet image from the Altenew Just Because set on watercolor paper panel using VersaFine Onyx Black pigment ink, coloured them with watercolour pencils, and then brushed them with water brush. For the sentiment, I used the word “hugs” in the Altenew Script Words die set.

For my second card, I created a watercolour smoosh background – This is a very pretty and unpredictable watercolour background technique!! I stamped a flower bouquet and sentiment from the Just Because set on the centre of an A2 sized watercolour paper panel in VersaFine Onyx Black pigment ink. Once the inked panel was dry, I applied a watercolour wash on the panel using some Distress inks and a water brush.
Once the watercoloured panel was completely dry, I die cut the word “XO” from the panel using the Altenew Bold Alphabet die set. I mounted the panel on white card base using glue tape first, and then added the word dies using foam tape.

For my last card, I coloured the flowers with the Artist markers along with some Copic markers. I stamped and coloured a flower bouquet, cut a top part of the panel, and then mounted it on top-folded Lagoon card base using foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy crafting!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!

  1. Your watercoloring is so beautiful, Yoonsun! I love the floral stamps, too, and that “hugs” die cut is my favorite :) Thanks for sharing!
