SSS Cherished Release Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!
Welcome to the Simon Says Stamp Cherished Release Blog Hop!! If you arrived here from Nina Marie Trapani’s blog you are on the right track!

Today I will be sharing with you my summer themed cards using brand new Summer Flowers Stamp Set, Circular Lace Stencil, and Wonky Rectangles Die Set.
As you can guess, my first card is watercolour flower card! :D I randomly stamped flowers and leaves from the Summer Flowers set on watercolour paper using VersaFine Vintage Sepia pigment ink, and then trimmed it down with the Wonky Rectangle panel die. I coloured them with Peerless watercolors and water brush. For the sentiment, I die cut the word “Delightful” from metal gold card stock five times, stacked them up using fine tip glue pen. Once the watercoloured panel was dry, I mounted it on an A2 sized top-folded kraft card base using double-sided tape first, and then added the sentiment die cut using fine tip glue pen.

For my second card, I used the Circular Lace stencil as my main supply. I laid the stencil over watercolour panel, and then inked with some Distress inks: Abandoned Coral, Scattered Straw, Crushed Olive, Victorian Velvet, and Cracked Pistachio. Once the inked panel was dry, I distressed all edges of the panel using Tim Holtz Paper Distresser.
For the sentiment, I used the Believe word die and the Believe stamp set. Around the sentiment, I added some vellum butterflies (from the Butterfly Drift die).

My last card is sunflower card. I heat embossed sunflowers from the Summer Flowers set on kraft panel in white, and then coloured them with Faber Castell polychromos pencils. For the sentiment, I used the Oh Happy Day stamp set.

  1. Your circular lace card is absolutely stunning! As much as I love the stencil, I think the vellum butterflies are my favorite part!

  2. SO BEAUTIFUL! WOW!!! Your first card is LOVELY with the bright colors & the wonky stitches, the second- is GORGEOUS with the gradient colors & lacy stencil, along with the vellum butterflies! Lastly, your third card is LOVELY colored on the Kraft Card Stock! LOVE this floral stamp set! (I LOVE this technique too!) SUPER JOB on ALL of your cards, Yoonsun! SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!! ;)

  3. Beautiful cards. This is a wonderful release and I love how you’ve shown so many different ways to use the new products. I really like how you pencil colored the Sunflower, I thought you had used vellum.

  4. I love all of these and not sure which one I love best! I loved the bright colors on the first card, the lacy look with the stencil and I really like that sunflower! All so beautiful.

  5. What absolutely beautiful cards!! I especially love that stencil background with the vellum butterflies, but that repeated watercolor background with the flowers and leaves is just so pretty too! It’s hard to decide, thanks for sharing!

  6. I wish I could watercolor and have it come out as nice as yours. I love the sunflower card. Very pretty. Thanks for sharing.

  7. I like them all. Love the tiny little vellum butterflies– they look so perfect perched on that beautiful stencilled card. I love the way the stitched lines of the florals complement the wonky stitched frame. So pretty. Thanks so much.
