Card Stock: Smooth White (6), Black Licorice (2), Persimmon (1), Blueberry (1), Wild Wisteria (1), Limelight (1), Tropical Teal (1), Lavender Fields (1)
Envelopes: 2 of each Persimmon, Blueberry, Wild Wisteria, Limelight, Tropical Teal, and Lavender Fields

New Mid Month Free with $60 Die-namics is the Essential Fishtail Sentiments Strips Die-namics.

Today’s card, I wanted to make whimsical spring floral background with the new kit. I randomly stamped outlined images from the Sketchy Flowers set on watercolour paper with Chocolate Brown hybrid ink, solid images with other hybrid inks; Red Hot, Pineapple, Latte for flowers and Gumdrop Green, Green-Eyed Monster, Limeade, Sour Apple, Summer Splash for leaves. I trimmed the stamped panel down with scallop panel die in the Blueprints 27 Die-namics. For the sentiment, I die cut the word “Thanks” from white card stock using the Twice the Thanks Die-namics five times, stacked them up using fine tip glue pen, then partially ink blended it with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I mounted all elements as shown to top-folded Tropical Teal card base using foam tape. To finish it off, I embellished with a few 3mm PPP clear sequins.

  1. WHOA… I love the background you created! So pretty and the grey between the flowers (I think its grey) makes the colors pop!

  2. Love all the bright colors! I think the sentiment stands out because it is done in an ombre shade against all the colored flowers.

  3. This card has a wonderful “fall” feel to it (which is my favorite season) so I know I’ll be using your color combination in a few months as a CASing.

  4. Agreed! The Sketchy Flowers set makes it easy to create Spring Whimsy. Love how you chose a frame with a scallop border – it matches the shape of one of the flowers. Thanks for the inspiration!
