Winnie & Walter World Cardmaking Day 2016 Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends, happy World Cardmaking Day!
I’m so thrilled (and honoured) to be a part of the Winnie and Walter World Cardmaking Day 2016 Blog Hop!!
wcmdbannerbloghopI have a Christmas card to share using so gorgeous Winter Woodland stamp set with you today.
yoonsunhur-20161001-ww-001To start, I die cut a piece of watercolour paper using an A2 sized rectangle panel die. I then randomly stamped the pine boughs, pine cones, and berries from the Winter Woodland set on watercolour paper panel using the traditional Christmas colours of Distress ink: (Pine boughs) Mowed Lawn, Evergreen Bough, and Crushed Olive / (Pine cones) Vintage Photo / (Berries) Festive Berries and Fired Brick.
yoonsunhur-20161001-ww-003For the faux watercolour look, I lightly brushed the stamped images using water brush.

  1. What an awesome card! Especially love the background you created! Thank you so much for sharing and for the inspiration. :-)

  2. I love how you create so many different looks with just watercoloring as the theme! This one is no exception – I love the look of the pines and berries – so beautiful, so Christmas-y!!

  3. I’m starting to get into the christmas cardmaking now that fall is here in the Netherlands. Love your cards, such a pretty combination.

  4. Yoonsun, This card is soooo cool love pinecones, they remind me of home, and alot of times wished I was there instead of here. Great job! And thank you for taking me back to a better time.

  5. Gorgeous! Love the background you created… yay for traditional colors!! Also like the contrast between the busy, bright, top background and the darker, simpler bottom portion of your card. What a great effect. TFS you extraordinary talent!

  6. BEAUTIFUL card Yoonsun!!!
LOVE your faux watercolour panel, it looks MAGICAL, LOVE your twine, woodgrain texture & stag layered together too!!!
THANK YOU for sharing your CREATIVE INSPIRATION :)

  7. I’m late to the hop, but it’s a perfect day for doing so, as it’s gloomy and lightly snowing here. Nothing like awesome creativity to brighten my spirits, and your Woodland images have certainly done so! I’m especially captivated by the pine cones! Gorgeous!
