MFT September Release Countdown – Day 1

Hello crafty friends!
Welcome to the My Favorite Things September Release Countdown Day 1. We’ve reached the final day of the countdown and all of the new products will be available at 10 pm ET today in the MFT store.
NewReleaseCountdown_Day1Today I want to share with you the autumn themed card that I’ve made using the Fall Friends stamp setDie-namics and Chevron Grid stencil along with the Circle Spinner Channels Die-namics.
YoonsunHur-SEPT-MFTRC-Day1-001To start, I made my own background on watercolour paper using the Chevron Grid stencil. I laid down the stencil on the watercolour paper, gently dabbed on it with Crushed Olive, Wild Honey, and Rusty Hinge Distress inks using mini ink blending tool. After removing the stencil, I trimmed the inked paper using the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics, then lightly brushed the chevron background using a wet paint brush. Once the panel was dry, I made the spinner circle with the Circle Spinner Channels Die-namics to have a little more playful and fun card!
YoonsunHur-SEPT-MFTRC-Day1-002For the main images, I stamped them from the Fall Friends set on watercolour paper using Black Licorice hybrid ink, coloured them with Peerless watercolors, then die cut them with the Fall Friends Die-namics.

Make sure to check out MFT Blog for all the info for today along with links to all the other DT member’s blog posts.

See you TONIGHT for the release!

Hello crafty friends, happy Monday!
Welcome to the My Favorite Things September Release Countdown Day 2.
NewReleaseCountdown_Day2Today I am featuring one of my favourite die sets called Tea Party!
YoonsunHur-SEPT-MFTRC-Day2-A001To start, I die cut teapot from watercolour paper using the Tea Party Die-namics, then stamped flowers and leaves from the Bold Blooms set on the tea pot die cut using hybrid inks: (Red) Red Hot & Paver Red / (Yellow) Pineapple & Latte / (Green) Sour Apple & Green-Eyed Monster. I die cut teapot top from the Wild Cherry card stock, butterfly from white card stock using the Flutter of Butterflies Lace Die-namics. For the floral background, I heat embossed flowers and leaves from the Bold Blooms set on watercolour paper panel in clear, then ink blended on it with Tattered Rose, Wild Honey, Victorian Velvet Distress inks using mini ink blending tool, and then trimmed the bottom of the panel using the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges Die-namics. I mounted all elements as shown to the Primitive White card base using foam tape. For the sentiment, I used the Cup of Tea stamp set.

SSS STAMPtember® Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends! Happy STAMPtember®!!
SSS-STAMPtember-BannerSeptember is, without a doubt, my favourite time of year and I am SUPER excited to be a part of Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® Blog Hop today!! Are you ready for a month long STAMPtember® celebration?! YAY! Let’s dive right in!!

Today I have three watercolour cards to share with you using the brand new exclusive STAMPtember® products! Woot!!
YoonsunHur-20160903-SSS-A001For my first card, I used the Hydrangea Blooms stamp set I designed. I simply stamped the outlined hydrangea image from the set onto the cold press watercolour paper panel using Victorian Velvet and Seedless Preserves Distress inks first. I then stamped the solid hydrangea image over the stamped area with the same colours, brushed them using a wet paint brush for a more subtle look. For the hydrangea cluster, I used Post-It Notes to mask stamped images. For the leaves, I coloured them with Mowed Lawn and Peeled Paint Distress inks.
YoonsunHur-20160903-SSS-A002
For my second card, I used so adorable Christmas Toys stamp set – It reminded me of my childhood Christmas memories!!
YoonsunHur-20160903-SSS-B001To start, I randomly stamped the images from the Christmas Toys set on the Stitches Rectangle watercolour paper panel using Antique Linen Distress ink, and then coloured them with Peerless watercolors and waterbrush. I coloured the background with Antique Linen Distress ink. Once the panel was dry, I gold heat embossed the edges of the panel, and then mounted it on the Schoolhouse Red card base using double-sided tape. For the sentiment, I white heat embossed it on the Schoolhouse Red card stock, added natural twine and silver jingle bell.
YoonsunHur-20160903-SSS-B002
For my last card, I played with the gorgeous Abstract Triangles background stamp. I was inspired by the beautiful fall foliage colours.
YoonsunHur-20160903-SSS-C001 To create the card, I stamped the Abstract Triangles Background on an A2 cold press watercolour paper panel using Antique Linen Distress ink, and then watercoloured the background with Peerless watercolors and waterbrush. For the sentiment, I used two word dies ‘Grathful‘ and ‘Autumn Blessings‘. The ‘Grateful’ set has both script and outline dies so we can create various styles with them!
YoonsunHur-20160903-SSS-C002Your next stop on the hop is super talented Wanda Guess. We hope to inspire you with some beautiful card projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs!
