SSS My Favorite Release Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends, welcome to the Simon Says Stamp My Favorite Release Blog Hop!!
SSS-MyFavorite-BlogHop-BannerSimon Says Stamp released jam-packed full of fabulous products – so adorable cuddly critters, the beautiful flowers, and the bicycle! You will say that they are all your favourites!!

YoonsunHur-20160422-SSS-A001For my first card, I made a watercolour floral wreath card with my Wild Beauty stamp set. First I traced a circle on the centre of the watercolour paper panel very lightly with a pencil. I then stamped the flowers and leaves around the circle with several colours of Distress ink – I used second generation stamping technique. I then brushed the stamped images with water using waterbrush. For the sentiment in the circle frame, I used the Big Scripty Greetings stamp set.

YoonsunHur-20160422-SSS-B001I just couldn’t resist another play with the flower stamps. I randomly stamped the flowers and leaves from Sketch Ranunculus and Wild Beauty sets on the bottom portion of the watercolour panel using VersaMark Embossing ink, then heat embossed with Hero Arts White embossing powder. I then loosely coloured them with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor. I die cut the word “Faith” from the watercoloured panel using Painted Faith die and then mounted it using dimensional foam tape.

YoonsunHur-20160422-SSS-C001For my last card today, I used the new Beautiful Ride stamp set. Oh, I love that bicycle so much. Isn’t it wonderful?!! For the background, I randomly stamped the bicycle and flowers onto the Ivory card base using Stone hybrid ink, then added some dark shading with a Copic marker C1. And then I stamped the bicycle and other accessories on a separate watercolour paper using VersaFine Pigment Ink Onyx Black, coloured it with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor, then die cut it with Beautiful Ride dies.

  1. Oh my Yoonsun – amazing inspiration! Love them all but especially the faith card – always love that die cutting technique and it looks fab with your gorgeous flowers.

  2. I absolutely LOVE your cards! They are absolutely gorgeous! I’ve ordered both the Wild Beauty and Enjoy the Ride so am especially delighted to see how you’ve used those. If I can create something even half as amazing as your Wild Beauty card, I’ll be thrilled!! It’s always a treat to see how the creator of a set as envisioned their stamps and used them. Congrats on a job well done!! :)

  4. You did some amazing work with the watercolor. I’m still getting started with it, and I’m always amazed at the work and talent I see in these cards. Beautiful.

  5. Beautiful cards!! Love how you have colored the Wild Beauty flowers to make them less contemporary looking. Adding this stamp set to my wish list!

  6. I simply can not choose a favorite They are each just beautiful and that bicycle card is just wow, so fun!! The “Faith” card really intrigues me. Just love them all.

  7. I love all of your cards and the great techniques that you use. I absolutely love the faith card and have to try the die cutting technique right away. Your designs are amazing.

  8. These are all so beautiful! It’s impossible to choose a favorite. The repeated bike patterned background caught my attention though. That’s a neat effect!

  9. There were alot of nice cards in this blog hop, but of all of them I think yours were the best. Thank you so much for sharing and I’ll be subscribing to your blog.
