PPP Birthday Celebration

Hello crafty friends, welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh Birthday Celebration! Wow, Pretty Pink Posh turns 2!!
PPPBirthday_HeaderI am so excited (and so honoured) to be part of an awesome birthday party!! The celebrations will be held over three days and today is the first!

YoonsunHur-20160109-PPP-B001For my first card, I made shaker card with the newly released Mini Star Confetti. First I 1) made my own floral background with MFT So Much Love and Mini Modern Blooms stamp sets. 2) Die cut Stitched Film Strip from white card stock, back it with acetate sheet, then added Mini Star Confetti: (from the top of the shaker frame) Iridescent, gold, and silver. 3) Stamped the cute critters from Holiday Pals set on watercolour paper using black pigment ink, coloured them with Distress markers, then fussy cut them. 4) Mounted all elements as shown to A2 size white card base.

YoonsunHur-20160109-PPP-A001For my second card, I used Storybook 3 die in a creative way. First I stamped the roses from Clearly Besotted Merci Beaucoup set on white paper panel using black pigment ink, added red & black ink splatters. I die cut from the stamped panel using Storybook 3 die – I used a negative panel. On the positive rectangles, I stamped the roses with embossing ink, white heat embossed, then blended them with Distress inks: Festive Berries and Fired Brick for red, Mustard Seed and Wild Honey for yellow, Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry for pink panel. I attached the bow, Twine and Bows Dies, at the top of each inked panel – they look like gift boxes. I mounted all elements as shown to A2 size white card base using double-sided tape, then embellished with a few clear sequins.

  1. Wow! Both cards are adorable. I really like your 2nd card, you should do a video showing how you created this card, it’s beautiful.

  2. You did such a nice job on both cards. Would you would consider doing a video or tutorial on the filmstrip card? I just can’t visualize how you got those sequins into the filmstrip and adhered it to your card while keeping the filmstrip straight. That is amazing.

  3. I love your versatility of style. It can be very challenging to go from cute and sparkly to incredibly classy and you have done both with HONORS! Both cards are absolutely beautiful!
P.S. I looked totally silly, like 1 inch from the computer screen studying your designs!

  4. Love your adorable shaker card! And such a creative use of the Storybook 3 die on the second card. Thank you for the inspiration!!

  5. Beautiful combinations of sophistication and whimsy. Love the tiny stars on the shaker card, and bowled over by the thought and execution on the roses card! Perfection!

  7. Both of these cards are simply stunning!
I love the fun quirky critters on the first, with that fabulously stamped background. I am in love with the second! What a wonderful way to use colours, dies, sequins and stamps! I absolutely adore that card it’s clever yet very artsy whilst still being classically classy too. Thanks for the blog hop and fabulous inspiration Karen x

  8. Your cards are so delightful. The colors and designs are beautiful. I love the cute little critters. So sweet. Thanks for the great project ideas.
