SSS Falling For You – Bokeh Stencils

Hello crafty friends!
Today I want to share with you my cards with SSS Falling For You Exclusives.

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20150518-SSS-01For my card I used Bokeh Lights Stencils from Falling For You Exclusives. Bokeh is definitely one of the popular subjects in card making because Bokeh makes our cards -especially flower cards- visually appealing, leading us to focus our attention on a particular area of the image.

For the bokeh background, 1)I blended on the watercolour panel with Distress inks Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar using blending tool. 2)I then layered Bokeh stencils over the inked panel and sponged with white chalk ink, using sponge dauber. Then, I layered medium circle bokeh over the inked panel once again, coloured with Distress inks Picked Raspberry using water brush. 3)I added pearl white ink splatters.

For the flowers, 1)I stamped Artful Flowers on the watercolour paper using embossing ink, white heat embossed. 2)I coloured them with Distress markers, covered with Wink of Stella shimmer and then fussy cut them. To finish it off, I mounted the flower panel as shown to the bokeh background panel using dimensional foam tape, added the sentiment, mixed clear sequins.

  1. I stumbled upon this gorgeous card through SSS under the Sentimental Circles/Falling for You set. Your watercolor is amazingly beautiful! Thanks for sharing your technique, I’m inspired to give this a try and get Falling for You. (Though I fear I will merely look at the stencils and wonder how I will put them to use). Your card creations are wonderful, and I love your watercolor technique. God bless you in your creating!
