Hello crafty friends! Wow! just wow! I’m SO honoured to be joining Simon Says Stamp Hop To It Release Blog Hop. Full of amazing stamps and dies are perfect for making Spring themed and Easter projects!! One word. Extraordinary designs!!

20150220-SSS-HopToIt01For my first card, I used Abby’s Spring Showers Stamp Set. All images are so darling, this set is definitely one of my favourite one among new released products.

1) I stamped bunny, flowerpot, umbrella in one layer on the watercolour paper panel using VersaFine Pigment Ink Onyx Black. I used sticky note to mask the bunny image to stamp it overlapping. 2) Once dry, I coloured stamped images with Distress Markers. 3) For umbrella, I paper pieced with patterned papers. 4) For the sentiments, I stamped them with VersaFine Pigment Ink Onyx Black and heat embossed them in clear. 5) To finish it off, I stitiched the left side of the watercolour panel and also under the bunny image and added some clear sequins.

20150220-SSS-HopToIt02“Rain, rain go away~ HAPPY SPRING!!” Yes, spring is definitely in the air!!

20150220-SSS-HopToIt03I also used Abby’s Spring Showers Stamp Set for my second card. I made no-line watercolour background card with adorable bear!!!

1) For my no-line watercolour background: I die cut to the watercolour paper using Simon Says Stamp Stitches Rectangles Die -larest one- and I stamped the bear and outlined heart stamps using Distress Ink Antique Linen. -Distress ink reacts with water, which makes it easily to give an illusion that the images wasn’t even stamped after you’ve after coloured it- and then coloured them with Distress Markers. 2) I made small circle window to the bottom side of the watercolour panel using Simon Says Stamp Stitches Circles Die for putting bear into it. 3) I stamped the bear using VersaFine Pigment Ink Onyx Black and then coloured with Distress Markers. 4) To finish it off, I tied the twine and added some 4mm clear sequins.

20150220-SSS-HopToIt05My last card for the hop that I made with another awesome stamp set called ‘Work Out‘. When I saw this image, I couldn’t resist Copic colouring. 1) I stamped the girl with Memento Dye Ink Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copic markers and then cut it using matching die. 2) For the background, I made my own sun rays with Distress Ink Squeezed Lemonade using sponge dauber. 3) I cut ‘Way to go!’ word die 6 times and affixed all pieces together -I wanted to make thicker like chipboard. 4) I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Pigment Ink Onyx Black and heat embossed it in clear. 5) Sparkly clear sequins were the finishing touches.

  1. The cards are all just wonderful, especially the one with the bear. I love the way you used your main image as a background stamp in such soft colors letting the main bear just pop right out there and catch your attention.

  2. Amazing cards! I love how you used the main image to make a background with that adorable bear. Thanks so much for the inspiration.

    Hugs,
    Snoopy :D

  3. Wow all three of your cards are great. Love the teddy bear stamped on the background. We are waiting so much for spring here in SC right now. Enjoyed your work. Thank you.

  4. Best hop ever lol, you girls have made such wonderful cards that are so different. I love all these new releases they are just so versatile and user friendly. I really love how you used that little bear as a background too and then a bolder on popping out, so so cute. Thanks to you all for all the fab ideas and for sharing your tips… off to decide what I NEED right now before it’s all sold out ;)
