Hello crafty friends, happy weekend!
Welcome to the My Favorite Things April Release Countdown Day 4.
Today I am featuring so adorable Cool Cat and Lucky Dog stamp sets.
For my first card, I used the Cool Cat stamp set.
First off I stamped the cats from Cool Cat set onto watercolour paper panel with Black Licorice hybrid ink, then stamped them on post-it note in black – to use them for masking – as well. For the brick background, I placed the English Brick Wall stencil over the stamped panel, then taped the stencil to the panel.
I inked it up with Natural, Latte, Kraft, and Chocolate Brown hybrid inks using sponge daubers.
I stamped the sentiments & paw prints with Black Licorice hybrid ink in a fun way like the kids scribble on the wall :D
For my second card, I used Lucky Dog stamp set. First I 1) Stamped the dogs on watercolour paper with black pigment ink, coloured them with Distress markers, then die cut them with Lucky Dog Die-namics. 2) Die cut the stitched scallop frames from MFT coloured card stocks – I used the smallest one of each Stitched Square, Rectangle, Circle, and Oval Scallop Frames Die-namics. 3) Applied Stitched Strip to A2 size white panel using Stitched Strip Die-namics. 4) Mounted all elements as shown to white card base using dimensional foam tape.

I noticed the change on how you set up the emails of your Countdowns. You said some time before that you were hoping to be able to include videos for the Countdowns someday. What you did just differently is by showing step by step how you made those cards instead of just describing in the 1), 2), 3), etc.which I don’t always understand. This new way to describing makes a big difference, and perhaps video clips won’t be necessary after all. Thank you for coming up with that new idea!

Yoonsun! So crafty! Great job masking on the Cool Cat’s brick wall. But, I have to say the star is the Lucky Dog card (and I’m a cat lover!) Clever usage with the scalloped stitched frames. And, I loved the stitched background! Clever way to keep us using all of our supplies!
