Christmas in August – CASE Study #202

Hello folks,
Christmas is just around the corner? Not yet! But, I need to make 100 Christmas cards from now on.

There are more than 100 homeless people around Sydney city area. Especially in the winter, many homeless people struggle against the cold. It is quite a sad… Our Church supports food and blankets to homeless people in Sydney since 2010. One month ago, pastor asked me to make greeting cards for those hopeless people because of delivering God’s love through handmade greeting card in Christmas and I answered “YES!!” without hesitation. Isn’t that amazing? It is really awesome job and I am so glad to make cards for them. Annnnnnnd… there is one more awesome thing to me! My Christmas card can fit for CASE Study Challenge #202 YAY!!!

CSC202-InspirationThe inspiration photo by Shari Carroll is truly amazing!!

Here is what I came up with:
20140805-01I used big enough Hero Arts Wreath of Leaves Stamp for my first CASE Study challenge card LOL!!

I made two-piece wreath as a focal point. One was for watercolouring, another was heat embossed on the vellum paper in gold. I then tied both of them using red & white twine. I wanted it feel more like Christmas, I used embossing folder on the kraft paper panel and then dabbed onto the paper in distress ink vintage photo. I added some red sequins for finishing touch.

Big congrats on the 4th Anniversary!!! I can’t wait for it.
