SSS Tropical Leaves

Hello crafty friends, blessed Sunday!
Today I am just popping in to share my cards with the new SSS Tropical Leaves stamp set.
YoonsunHur-20160625-SSS-BothSSS-Tropical-LeavesThis set is loved by so many people! And of course it’s one of my faves among the new SSS Among the Stars release!!
YoonsunHur-20160625-SSS-A001For my first card, I used the emboss resist technique. First, I stamped the leaves from the Tropical Leaves set on the bottom part of an A2 sized watercolour paper panel using VersaMark embossing ink, and then heat embossed them with Hero Arts white embossing powder. Next, I ink blended on the heat embossed panel with Faded Jeans, Mermaid Lagoon, Evergreen Bough, Mowed Lawn, Cracked Pistachio, Twisted Citron, and Wild Honey Distress inks using mini ink blending tool. I spritzed the ink blended panel with water using a Mini Mister. Once the panel was dry, I added tiny dots using Uni-Ball Pen Gel White. For the sentiment, I used the Uplifting Thoughts stamp set. Finally, I mounted the panel on an A2 sized white card base using dimensional foam tape, then embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.

YoonsunHur-20160625-SSS-B001Here is another card with the Tropical Leaves stamp set. First, I die cut a piece of watercolour paper using the SSS Stitches Rectangles die. I then randomly stamped the leaves on it with several blue & green colours of SSS hybrid and dye inks. I coloured the rest areas with Pumice Stone Distress ink using Tim Holtz Detailer Waterbrush. Once the panel was dry, I stamped the sentiment from the Uplifting Thoughts set on the centre of the panel using VersaFine Onyx Black, added some black ink splatters. I mounted it on an A2 sized white card base using dimensional foam tape, then embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.
YoonsunHur-20160625-SSS-B002That’s it for today. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend!!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!

MFT WSC 285

Hello crafty friends, happy Wednesday!
I am sharing with you my card for My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 285.
MFT_WSC_285
Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20160615-MFTWSC285-001When I saw the sketch 285, the ruffled lace came to my mind. To create this card, I 1) Stamped the leaves from the Tropical Flowers set on watercolour paper panel using hybrid inks: Sour Apple, Summer Splash, Gumdrop Green, Limeade, Berrylicious, and Pineapple. 2) Coloured the background of the stamped panel with Antique Linen Distress ink, then added some white & green ink splatters. 3) Die cut the ruffles from the Lemon Chiffon, Cool as a Cucumber, Limelight card stocks and vellum paper using the Fringe Die-namics. 4) Die cut the Flutter of Butterflies Lace from gold glitter paper, the Flutter of Butterflies Solid from vellum paper. 5) Heat embossed the “HELLO” sentiment from the Hog Heaven set on the Summer Splash card stock in white and then trimmed it with the stitched banner in the Blueprints 29 Die-namics. 6) Mounted all elements as shown to an A2 sized white card base using double-sided tape.

SSS Flower Cone

Hello crafty friends, happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!!
Today I want to share with you my fun “Flower Cone” card with the Simon Says Stamp Sketch RanunculusWild Beauty stamp sets I designed – Spring is now ending and summer is coming already. Meaning that the season of ice cream is coming soon :D
YoonsunHur-20160522-SSS001To create this card, I stamped the flowers and leaves from Sketch RanunculusWild Beauty sets on watercolour paper panel using Distress inks, then brushed – just like rubbing – them using Tim Holtz Detailer Waterbrush. I then stamped them on the same place with the same colours of Distress ink once again – I used Festive Berries, Wild HoneyPicked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Crushed Olive, Mowed Lawn, and Peacock Feathers Distress inks.
YoonsunHur-20160522-SSS002Next, I stamped the cone from Cone Building set on the panel using Rusty Hinge & Gathered Twigs Distress inks. I then roughly coloured the background with Tattered Rose Distress ink – It’s my favourite pink!! Once dry, I mounted the panel along with the sentiment banner on top-folded white card base using dimensional foam tape. To finish it off, I embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.
YoonsunHur-20160522-SSS003Oh, yummy colourful flower cone, haha ;)
