Mustard Seed Faith Challenge #3

Hello crafty friends, happy Easter!!
I’m SO happy (and so honoured) to be a part of the Mustard Seed Faith Challenge team from this month!
This is a brand new challenge blog for everybody, those with great talents and those with little, those with faith in Jesus, those who are curious about Christianity and those who…just like a good challenge and the key verse, the reason for this blog stems from Matthew 17:20 “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed…nothing will be impossible for you.”

This week’s challenge is to make something related to “Traveling Mercies“.
I started by stamping flowers and leaves from the SSS More Spring Flowers set on an A2 sized white paper panel in MFT Black Licorice hybrid ink, and then coloured them with Alcohol based markers (Altenew and Copic markers). I then used hot-air balloon die cut to express “Traveling Mercies”.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a fabulous Easter weekend!!

SSS Floral Easter Cards

Hello crafty friends, happy Easter weekend!!
Today I want to share with you my couple of floral Easter cards with the Suzy’s In Full Bloom Watercolor Paintable Prints.

Here is what I came up with:
To create the card, I watercoloured the image with Peerless watercolors and a wet paint brush. Once the panel was dry, I trimmed it out using the Stitches Rectangle panel die, and then mounted it on top-folded Lipstick Red card base using double-sided tape. For the sentiment, I heat embossed it from the Uplifting Thoughts set on black card stock in white, fussy cut it, then added it on the card front using foam tape.
It’s so easy to make with the Suzy’s In Full Bloom Watercolor Paintable Prints!!

My second card is pretty much the same as the first. I watercoloured the flower image with Peerless watercolors. Once it was dry, I fussy cut it, and then stamped the sentiment (from the Happy Easter stamp set) on the yellow flower in VersaFine Onyx Black pigment ink. I mounted it on Lipstick Red card base using foam tape. I embellished with a few PPP clear droplets & sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy Easter, everyone!!

Keep smiling and be blessed! God bless you all!

SSS He is RISEN!

Hello crafty friends, happy Monday!
Easter is just around the corner!! So today I want to share with you my Easter card with the Simon Says Stamp More Spring Flowers and Happy Easter stamp sets along with other SSS products.

Here is what I came up with:
I started by stamping flowers and leaves from the More Spring Flowers set on an A2 sized watercolour paper panel in Antique Linen Distress ink, then coloured them with Distress markers – I used no-line watercolouring technique. I coloured the background of the panel using Pumice Stone Distress ink. Next, I die cut the Cross from watercolour paper using the Crosses die set, stamped the sentiment from the Happy Easter set with VersaFine Onyx Black pigment ink, then roughly coloured the Cross with Antique Linen and Tea Dye Distress inks. Once the watercoloured panel was dry, I mounted it on A2 white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added the Cross using Foam tape.
He is RISEN! Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. (1 Corinthians 15:20)

SSS So grateful for YOU

Welcome back my crafty friends!
Today I want to share with you my floral thanks card with the SSS Oh Happy Day stamp set I designed.
sss-feb-p06
Here is what I came up with:
yoonsunhur-20170228-sssp06-001I started by creating my floral background with the Oh Happy Day stamp set. For stamping flowers, I used warm colours of SSS dye ink: Cotton CandyRosie Cheeks, Schoolhouse Red, Sunshine, Merlot, and Lemon Zing. I then lightly brushed around the stamped area with Festive Berries Distress ink and a wet paint brush. I added opaque white ink splatters. Once the panel was dry, I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Essentials set with VersaFine Vintage Sepia.
yoonsunhur-20170228-sssp06-002I die cut the top part of the panel with Scallop Stitches die, then decorated the panel with natural twine and leaves die cut (from the Single Roses dies). Lastly I mounted it on top-folded kraft card base using foam tape.
