Hello crafty friends! Welcome to Day 2 of the Simon Says Stamp Make Merry Release Blog Hop. I’m especially excited to be a part of this amazing blog hop because it’s Christmas hop, woohoo!! If you arrived here from super talented Heather Hoffman’s blog you are on the right track! For my first card, I am featuring the new Center Cut Holiday Floral background stamp & the Deco Hat Gnome die. As many of you know watercolouring is my most favourite way to play with in my craft room! With these awesome goodies, I made a no-line watercoloured card. I stamped the holiday flowers on A2 sized watercolour paper panel using Antique Linen Distress ink first, and then coloured the stamped image with Tonic Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens: (Flowers & Berries)Red Apple, Wild Phlox (Leaves) Sliced Kiwi, Aqua Splash, Indigo Batik (Stems) Yellow Ochre, Caramel Pecan I coloured with Aqua Flow Pen first, then added water using water brush. Once the watercoloured panel was dry, I cut the centre of the panel using Stitched Circle die. For the Deco Hat Gnome, I die cut Deco Hat from several colour cardstock – Lipstick Red, Sunshine, Mint and Green Apple. For the sentiment, I used the CZ Design Joyful dies. Isn’t this gnome so cute?!! :D
For my second card, I used the Falling Leaves layering stencils & the Warm Hugs dies. with the first leaves stencil, I inked with Green Apple dye ink. The second leaves stencil, I inked with Green Leaf dye ink. The berries stencil, I inked with Lipstick Red dye ink. Lastly I laid acorn stencil over the panel, then inked with Rusty Hinge & Gathered Twigs Distress inks. For the sentiment, I used the Warm Hugs dies. It is so easy to make pretty card with layering stencils! :D For my last project for the hop, I made a very simple Christmas ornament ball with Warm Hugs dies. I made thick white “Warm Hugs” word die cut, then glued firmly to the bottom of the clear plastic ball using multi medium matte. I filled a clear ball with lots of clear sparkling sequins & glitters.

Hmm… I feel so sad that it’s been over a month since I’ve made a new blog post.. I really, really missed my inky fingers, messy craft desk and many crafty friends! Now I’m so happy to share with you my Copic-coloured floral card!! :D My today’s card, I used the Poppies Background Stamp along with other SSS products. I stamped the Poppies Background onto watercolour paper using Memento Rich Cocoa dye ink first, and then trimmed the stamped paper with A2 sized Basic Rectangle die. I coloured the stamped poppies with Copic markers: Flower petals:(light to dark)R39 Garnet Dark Red, R29 Lipstick Red, R24 Prawn Red Stamens:E59 Walnut Dark Brown, YR14 Caramel Stems: E59 Walnut Dark Brown, E25 Caribe Cocoa.
After colouring, I added floral textures onto the floral panel using the Detail Petal Plate die. For the sentiment, I die cut the word “Like You” from white cardstock, shadow from Lipstick Red cardstock, then glue together. I die cut tiny butterflies from white cardstock using the Flickering Butterflies die as well. I mounted the floral panel on A2 sized white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added all elements as shown in the picture using foam tape.

Are. You. Ready to enter the rainbow-coloured world? My cards will be full of rainbow colours today – just wanna say it “rainbowness.” Haha! :D For my first card, I used the Rainbow Card die set along with the Unicorn Love stamp set. I think the Rainbow Card die set will be a BIG HIT!! I die cut rainbow & clouds from watercolour paper using the Rainbow Card die set, then applied SSS dye inks to each ray of the rainbow in order of rainbow colours:
(from the top red colour) Lipstick Red, Duckling, Green Apple, Audrey Blue and Deep Purple. I stamped a cute unicorn from the Unicorn Love set on white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink, coloured it with Copic markers. I die cut the Detail Petal Plate from Neenah Smooth Desert Storm cardstock, then mounted it on the same Desert Storm card base using double-sided tape. I then added all elements as shown in the picture using foam tape. I added many of bling-bling sequins & droplets on the rainbow rays! It is another happy rainbow card on the rainbow shaped card base. I adhered the two clouds using foam tape first. I adhered the sun & other clouds to the back of the rainbow rays using double-sided tape, then adhered the rainbow rays in place. Oh, I love it. It makes me so happy! I really wanna send you happy hugs!!
For my third cards, I used the Cosmos Bloom die along with Detail Petal Plate die. I die cut several cosmos from watercolour paper using the Cosmos Bloom die first, then applied rainbow coloured Distress inks to them using Blender Brushes: (Red)Festive Berries & Fired Brick (Yellow)Fossilized Amber & Tea Dye (Green)Crushed Olive & Evergreen Bough (Blue)Mermaid Lagoon & Faded Jeans (Purple)Seedless Preserves & Fired Brick I made a bouquet using rainbow coloured Cosmos Bloom & Eucalyptus Leaves die cuts, and then adhered on the centre of the Detail Petal Plate base using foam tape. I added stamens on the centre of each flower using PPP seed beads. Here is another rainbow floral card with the Cosmos Bloom die. I adhered flower die cuts on watercolour paper panel, then blended the floral panel with Distress inks. I then washed the colours using a wet paint brush, added opaque white & metallic silver ink splatters all around the panel. I die cut the Detail Meadow Butterfly from ivory cardstock. The sentiment, I used it in the Sentiment Strips Thinking of You.
