SSS Hop To It – Umbrella

Hello crafty friends!
Today, I want to share with you my cards with Simon Says Stamp newly released Hop To It products.

I love the rainbow after the rain… whenever I see the rainbow, I feel very grateful. So, I named my first card ‘Rainbow umbrella’.
YoonsunHur-20150303-SSS01
For this card, I used Umbrella Shaker Die as my main supply. My original plan was to make shaker card but I changed my mind because I wanted to show these pretty rainbow colours without shaking lol!

1)I die cut umbrella from white cardstock and put double sided sticky tape backside of the white panel. 2)I gently affixed 4mm sequins in rainbow order -Pretty Pink Posh Fresh Mint, Aquamarine, Lemon Drop, Pumpkin– along with shape of umbrella. 3)I then put umbrella die cut over the sequins. 4)For the sentiment, I stamped ‘HAPPY SPRING!’ from Abby’s Spring Showers Stamp Set using VersaFine Onyx Black and heat embossed it in clear. 5) Sparkly clear sequins, blue diagonal stripe washi tape, white & blue twine were the finishing touches.

My second card is watercolour card with Abby’s Spring Showers Stamp Set.

As many of my crafty friends already know, I love making watercolour cards!! And I want to learn and practice the different ways.

For this card, 1)I stamped bunny and umbrella in one layer on the watercolour paper using Distress Ink Peacock Feathers and coloured not the bunny and umbrella but the open areas around the stamped images with only one colour -Distress Ink Peacock Feathers– using wide paint brush & detailer waterbrush. 2)I stamped raindrops using Distress Ink Peacock Feathers, Broken China and gently blended with fresh water and then stamped sentiments, outlined hearts here and there. 3)Stitches on top of the panel, some clear sequins were the finishing touches.

TCC #29 – Get Well Soon

Happy Wednesday everyone! Here we are again with a new challenge at The Card Concept!

IP29Look at those pretty colours! It feels like springtime on this February and, yes, spring is definitely in the air!!

Here is what I came up with:
20150218-TCC-01I can’t wait to create card -or something with paper- when I saw bright colours!

For my card today, I chose Studio Calico Sending You Sunshine Stamp Set as my main supply. 1) I stamped flowers on the watercolour paper panel using VersaMark Embossing Ink and heat embossed in white. 2) Applied fresh water on the stamped images first and then coloured with paint brush -I used Peerless watercolours. 3) For sentiment banner: I heat embossed sentiments on the black cardstock in white and snipped tiny holes in the banner and then tied a bow through the hole using natural twine, leaving long tails. 4) Bee images and sparkly clear sequins are the finishing touches.

For GI round 3, I chose a gorgeous ‘PUNCTUATION Stencil’ by Simon Says Stamp and I named this card ‘Sound of Music‘.

Hmm… You might be wondering “Music? why?? where is musical notes?” Ye! You are right! It is punctuation but, not just punctuation. In my imagination, adding rainbow water drops to punctuation turns into the Sound of Music. LOL! :D

Here is a detailed view:
20140602-02
I layered a stencil over the watercolour paper and blended it with several colours of Distress Inks for making stencil patterns stand out (phew~ there are so many colours!!) and then, I added Shimmer Spritz Sparkle and touches of glossy accents to fresh water drops. The focal sentiment is embossed in Gold and it was popped up with foam dots for dimension. :D

20140602-03Sound of Music… So, shall we dance? You are absolutely delightful!!
