The Card Concept #21 – Sunflowers

Hello folks! Are you enjoying the lovely autumn weather?

Today I want to share a NEW challenge at The Card Concept! Check out the gorgeous inspiration below:
IP-No21 I love, love, love those beautiful sunflowers!!

And… here is what I came up with:

As part of the wild card team, I am to create a card in the Clean and Layered style! I thought dies and layered card, those two make a very good combination!

I die-cut Poppystamps Bountiful Sunflower as a focal point. Next I made two different sized pattern paper panels and die-cut a circle out of the panel each. I then the sunflower & leaves went both under and over the circle window.

Poppystamps CardMaker Blog Hop

Hello folks! It’s Poppystamps CardMaker Blog Hop Day!

Today I get the honour to show you my first Poppystamps card as a designer of Poppystamps team. I feel very blessed to be given this wonderful opportunity, and look forward to sharing lovely Poppystamps products with you. You could see the announcement on the Poppystamps blog here :D

Here is my first Poppystamps card:
20140919-01 Autumn is spreading out over the country even though spring time in Australia :D So, I decided to make autumn card with beautiful Poppystamps die!

20140919-02 To create my card, I chose gorgeous Poppystamps Leaf Silhouette die as a focal point. 1) I made my own autumn coloured panel using several distress inks at first. I blended Festive Berries, Mustard Seed, and Bundled Sage distress inks together using blending tool and inked the edges of the panel in gold. 2) Once panel has dried, I directly die cut on the panel using Leaf Silhouette die. 3) I then affixed dimensional foam tape back side of the panel and die cut another piece of Leaf Silhouette on white base. 4) I then carefully took only outline part of die cut off from the panel using tweezer and then adhered inlay white colour outline leaves. I tied natural twine and spritzed shiny gold ink splattering for finishing touches.

The Card Concept #19 – Colour Challenge

Hello folks!
It is time for a NEW challenge at The Card Concept! Check out the gorgeous inspiration below:
Isn’t it gorgeous autumn colours? So lovely! I love the lime, red, yellow on the white :D

And… here is what I came up with:

As part of the wild card team, I am to create a card in the Freestyle Collage this time. Hooray~ I love autumn colours and am so happy to make card with watercolours!!

To create my card I chose two beautiful dies. One was adorable Poppystamps Maple Leaf Border die as a focal point and another was Wplus9 Hand Lettered Thank you die.

First I created my own watercolour background using several distress inks. I blended Festive Berries, Mustard Seed, and Mowed Lawn together and then stamped letters on the left side in distress ink Aged Mahogany. I then spritzed fresh water and shiny gold on the watercolour panel. Besides it, I die cut the maple leaves on white cardstock and dabbed them in lime green, yellow, and red each and then applied gold ink to the edge of all leaves. For the sentiment, I die cut the ‘Thank you’ letter instead of message stamp. Lastly, I spritzed shiny gold ink splattering on the maple leaves and letters.
