MFT June Ingenious Inking Challenge – Compatible with Copics

Hello crafty friends!
Welcome to My Favorite Things Ingenious Inking Challenge! This month’s theme is Compatible with Copics.
MFT-IngeniousInking
Chances are, you loved coloring as a child. Chances are even greater, that you still love coloring as an adult. You may not make time for it anymore but we hope this month’s challenge changes that. Coloring is a relaxing and beautifully effective way of enhancing your stamped images. Not all inks are a great match for coloring but the MFT Hybrid Inks are a perfect companion to this technique. Keep clicking to see how the team mixed MFT Hybrid with Copic coloring for this month’s Ingenious Inking Challenge.

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20150623-MFT01MFT Hybrid Inks are very friendly with Copic colouring. Especially Black Licorice is a perfect match for copic colouring.

To create the card, 1)I stamped the girl and bunny from Adventure Is Calling Stamp set on the white cardstock with Black Licorice hybrid ink, coloured them with Copic markers and then die cut them using matching dies. 2)I stamped the roses on the white cardstock with Razzle Berry hybrid ink, coloured it with R20, R81, Y02 Copic markers and then die cut with Zig Zag Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics. 3)For the muted background, I stamped Roses All Over Background onto the white panel with Grout Gray hybrid ink.
YoonsunHur-20150623-MFT02Hybrid inks dry very fast so, we can start to colour the minute we stamp! Black Licorice hybrid ink is always on my craft desk :DYoonsunHur-20150623-MFT03

Today’s theme is ‘Balance – Quiet Space‘. Clean and Simple is the most popular style in cardmaking and you will be SO fun with us like other days!!
Print

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20150619-MFT-SummerSchool01MFT June release Flutter of Butterflies Die-namics is so beautiful and butterfly itself would be good enough for making elegant card.

To create the card, 1)I stamped Roses All Over Background on the Cherry Crisp cardstock using Cranberry Cocktail dye ink first and then die cut butterfly using Flutter of Butterflies Solid Die-namics, covered it with Zig Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Clear. 2)I stamped rose background on the white cardstock with Wild Cherry dye ink and then die cut it with Cross-Stitch Circle STAX Die-namics. I die cut larger circle frame from the vellum paper. 3)For the sentiment, I used it from Count the Stars Stamp set. 4)To finish it off, I mounted them as shown to the Primitive White cardstock, added some clear sequins, washi tape, and star wood veneer.

MFT Die-namics Design – Shape it Up

Hello crafty friends!
Welcome to My Favorite Things June Die-namics Design! This month’s theme is Shape it Up.
MFT-DienamicsDesignWe love STAX for their versatility and value. Basic shapes in a variety of sizes make them a fantastic way to beef up your toolbox with supplies that will stand the test of time and never go out of style. Beyond simple matting, these die cuts can be layered and combined in completely new and unique ways and this month, our team will give you just a taste of their capabilities. While STAX run the gamut to include stars, hearts, and flags, this month we’re focusing on the most elemental shapes of all: squares, rectangles, circles, and ovals. We’ve opened things up a little bit to include a variety of border options so you’ll see some stitched and pierced detailing, but you’ll be astounded by how creative you can be with a few simple lines and curves.

Here is what I came up with:
YoonsunHur-20150619-MFT-DieDesign01First of all, I coloured onto the watercolour paper with MFT dye inks using a wide paintbrush -it looks like dyed fabrics. I then die cut several pieces of squares, rectangles from the coloured paper using Cross-Stitch Square, Cross-Stitch Rectangle STAX Die-namics. I positioned them in place, mounted them as shown to the Primitive White cardstock using dimensional foam tape. For the sentiment, I stamped ‘Best wishes’ from the Happy Pandas Stamp set using embossing ink, white heat embossed. To finish it off, I embellished some clear sequins.
YoonsunHur-20150619-MFT-DieDesign02If you have basic shape die-namics and dye inks, you can easily make beautiful cards :D
