MFT April Release Countdown – Day 2

Hello crafty friends, I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
Welcome to the My Favorite Things April Release Countdown Day 2.
NewReleaseCountdown_Day2Today I am sharing my nature themed cards with the new Forest Friends stamp & Die-namicsFriends Die-namics, Tree-mendous Die-namics, and Bold Greenery Die-namics.
YoonsunHur-201604-MFTRC-DAY2-A001For my first card, I stamped the trees from Forest Friends set onto watercolour paper panel using Black Licorice hybrid ink, then watercoloured it with Peerless watercolors. I then stamped the fox and owl on a separate watercolour paper with Black Licorice hybrid ink, watercoloured them with Peerless watercolours as well, then die cut them with Forest Friends Die-namics. 3) Die cut the word “friends” from white card stock using Friends Die-namics five times, then glued them together using a fine tip glue pen. 4) Mounted all elements as shown to white card base using dimensional foam tape. 5) Embellished with a few PPP Share Kindness Sequins.

YoonsunHur-201604-MFTRC-DAY2-B001For my second card, I stamped the critters from Forest Friends set on watercolour paper using Black Licorice hybrid ink, watercoloured them with Distress markers, then die cut them with Forest Friends Die-namics. I die cut stitched trees from coloured card stocks using Tree-mendous Die-namics – I used Limelight, Green Room, Field Day card stocks for treetops and Milk Chocolate for trunks. Before mounting all elements, I added stitching to white card base with Stitched Strip Die-namics.

YoonsunHur-201604-MFTRC-DAY2-C001For my last card today, I used Bold Greenery Die-namics as my main supply. First off I die cut a piece of watercolour paper using Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics. I then made my own watercoloured background with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor. I die cut leaves from white card stock using Bold Greenery Die-namics. For the sentiment, I stamped it from Forest Friends set on black card stock using VersaMark Embossing ink, then heat embossed with white embossing powder. I mounted all elements as shown to Kraft card base using dimensional foam tape. To finish it off, I embellished with a few PPP 4mm clear droplets.

MFT April Release Countdown – Day 3

Hello crafty friends, blessed Sunday!
Welcome to the My Favorite Things April Release Countdown Day 3.
NewReleaseCountdown_Day3Today I am featuring the Loads of Thanks and I’m Tweet on You stamp sets.
YoonsunHur-201604-MFTRC-DAY3-A001MFT-CloudFor the cloud background, I die cut Stitched Cloud Edges from white card stock and used it as a stencil. I inked it up with Summer Splash hybrid ink using sponge daubers. Next, I stamped the flowers from Fly-By Friends set onto this inked panel using Black Licorice hybrid ink, coloured them with Peerless watercolors. I then stamped others, girl from Loads of Thanks set and butterflies from Fly-By Friends set, on a separate watercolour paper with Black Licorice hybrid ink, coloured them with Peerless watercolors, then die cut them with matching dies. Finally I mounted all elements as shown to A2 white card base using dimensional foam tape.

YoonsunHur-201604-MFTRC-DAY3-B001For my second card, I used I’m Tweet on You stamp set, Hello There Die-namics, and Cascading Scallop stencil. First off I blended the watercolour paper panel with several colours of Distress ink in rainbow order, placed Cascading Scallop stencil over the inked panel, dabbed away to remove colours using wet tissues, then added some white ink splatters. I stamped the birds, flowers, and bird house from I’m Tweet on You set on white card stock using Black Licorice hybrid ink, then die cut them with I’m Tweet on You Die-namics. I die cut the word “hello” from white card stock using Hello There Die-namics. Finally I mounted all elements as shown to A2 white card base using dimensional foam tape.   YoonsunHur-201604-MFTRC-DAY3-B002

MFT April Release Countdown – Day 4

Hello crafty friends, happy weekend!
Welcome to the My Favorite Things April Release Countdown Day 4.
NewReleaseCountdown_Day4Today I am featuring so adorable Cool Cat and Lucky Dog stamp sets.
YoonsunHur-201604-MFTRC-DAY4-A001For my first card, I used the Cool Cat stamp set.
YoonsunHur-201604-MFTRC-DAY4-A003First off I stamped the cats from Cool Cat set onto watercolour paper panel with Black Licorice hybrid ink, then stamped them on post-it note in black – to use them for masking – as well. For the brick background, I placed the English Brick Wall stencil over the stamped panel, then taped the stencil to the panel.
YoonsunHur-201604-MFTRC-DAY4-A004I inked it up with NaturalLatteKraft, and Chocolate Brown hybrid inks using sponge daubers.
YoonsunHur-201604-MFTRC-DAY4-A005YoonsunHur-201604-MFTRC-DAY4-A002I stamped the sentiments & paw prints with Black Licorice hybrid ink in a fun way like the kids scribble on the wall :D

First I 1) Stamped the dogs on watercolour paper with black pigment ink, coloured them with Distress markers, then die cut them with Lucky Dog Die-namics. 2) Die cut the stitched scallop frames from MFT coloured card stocks – I used the smallest one of each Stitched Square, Rectangle, Circle, and Oval Scallop Frames Die-namics. 3) Applied Stitched Strip to A2 size white panel using Stitched Strip Die-namics. 4) Mounted all elements as shown to white card base using dimensional foam tape.

MFT April Release Countdown – Day 5

Hello crafty friends, TGIF!
Welcome to the My Favorite Things April Release Countdown Day 5.
NewReleaseCountdown_Day5Today I am featuring a new Blueprints 28 Die-namics and Fly-By Friends stamp set.
YoonsunHur-201604-MFTRC-DAY5-A001Blueprints 28 includes a fun flap panel along with many cool designed dies. With this panel die, we can create a special card that conceals a gift card or a secret message inside it.
YoonsunHur-201604-MFTRC-DAY5-A004First off I die cut the panel onto watercolour paper using Blueprints 28 Die-namics, then masked painters tape all edges of the panel where I don’t want to stamp. I then randomly stamped the flowers and leaves from Build-able Bouquet set in Black Licorice hybrid ink. After stamping, I removed the tapes.
YoonsunHur-201604-MFTRC-DAY5-A005I applied painters tape to all edges of the stamped panel once again to prevent colour bleeding. I then watercoloured the flowers and leaves with Peerless watercolors, the background with Pumice Stone Distress ink using a paint brush.

To create the card, I 1) Stamped the flowers from Fly-By Friends set onto the Prima watercolour paper using VersaMark Embossing ink, then heat embossed with white embossing powder. 2) Trimmed the stamped panel using Stitched Mini Scallop Rectangle STAX Die-namics. 3) Watercoloured the flowers with Peerless watercolors. 4) Stamped the butterfly and bee on a separate watercolour paper using Natural hybrid ink, coloured them with Peerless watercolors as well, then die cut them with Fly-By Friends Die-namics. 5) Stamped the Watercolor Stripes Background on the Primitive White card base in Natural dye ink.
