MFT July Release Countdown – Day 1

Hello crafty friends!
Welcome to the My Favorite Things July Release Countdown Day 1. We’ve reached the final day of the countdown and all of the new products will be available at 10 pm ET today in the MFT store.
NewReleaseCountdown_Day1My card today, I am featuring the Time for the Bubbly and Flashy Florals stamp sets.
YoonsunHur-201607-MFTRC-DAY1-001To start, I created my own fresh leafy background with the Flashy Florals stamp set. I stamped the leaves on an A2 sized white paper panel with Sour Apple, Spearmint, Summer Splash, Green-Eyed Monster, Lush Lagoon hybrid inks using the Mini MISTI stamping tool, then added tiny circles from the Time for the Bubbly set with Summer Splash hybrid ink. Next, I stamped the bubble bath image from the Time for the Bubbly set on watercolour paper in black pigment ink, coloured it with Distress markers, then cut it out. I mounted all elements as shown to an A2 sized white card base using dimensional foam tape, then embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.

MFT July Release Countdown – Day 2

Hello crafty friends, happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful sunny weekend!!
Welcome to the My Favorite Things July Release Countdown Day 2.
NewReleaseCountdown_Day2My cards today I am featuring the You’re Rawr-some stamp set & Die-namics, Gift Box Cover-Up Die-namics, Happy Birthday to You Die-namics.
YoonsunHur-201607-MFTRC-DAY2-B001For my first card, I used the You’re Rawr-some stamp set & Die-namics and Gift Box Cover-Up Die-namics. First, I stamped the dinosaurs, palm trees, grasses from the You’re Rawr-some set on white card stock in Black Licorice hybrid ink, coloured them with Copic markers, and then die cut them with the You’re Rawr-some Die-namics. Next, I die cut the Gift Box Cover-Up from another white card stock, ink blended on it with Mowed Lawn and Peacock Feathers Distress inks using mini ink blending tool, then added water droplets. For the sentiment, I heat embossed them in white, then made them into speech bubbles. Lastly I mounted all elements as shown to an A2 sized white card base using dimensional foam tape.
YoonsunHur-201607-MFTRC-DAY2-B002Oh, I love these lovable dinosaurs and that “MAKE A BIG WISH” sentiment so much!!

YoonsunHur-201607-MFTRC-DAY2-A001For my second card, I used inlaid die cut technique with the Happy Birthday to You Die-namics. First, I die cut the Happy Birthday to You from white paper panel. I then stamped the flowers and leaves from the Flashy Florals set on the negative die cut panel with several colours of hybrid ink:
Flowers: Red Hot & Paver Red, Pineapple & Latte, Grape Jelly & Chili Powder
Leaves: Sour Apple & Green-Eyed Monster, Summer Splash & Lush Lagoon
Flower accents: Razzle Berry, Grape Jelly, Latte
I added some stitches on the panel using the Stitched Strip and Basic Stitch Lines Die-namics. Next, I mounted the panel on the Kraft card base using double-sided tape first, and then inlaid letters in place using fine tip glue pen. To finish it off, I embellished with a few PPP clear droplets.

MFT July Release Countdown – Day 3

Welcome to the My Favorite Things July Release Countdown Day 3.
NewReleaseCountdown_Day3Today I am featuring the Cupcake Day stamp set & Die-namics, Birthday Speech Bubbles stamp set & Die-namics.
YoonsunHur-201607-MFTRC-DAY3-001To create this card, I 1) Die cut a piece of heavy white card stock using an A2 sized stitched rectangle die in the Blueprints 25 Die-namics. 2) Laid the Big Balloons Stencil over the panel, and then inked the balloons with pastel colours of hybrid ink: Pink Lemonade(pink), Banana Split(yellow), Sno Cone(blue), Peach Bellini(coral), Spearmint(green), and Wild Wisteria(purple). 3) Stamped the girl from the Cupcake Day set on white card stock in Black Licorice hybrid ink, coloured it with Copic markers, then die cut it with the Cupcake Day Die-namics. 4) Stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Speech Bubbles set on white card stock in Chocolate Brown hybrid ink, then die cut it with the Birthday Speech Bubbles Die-namics. 5) Mounted all elements as shown to an A2 sized white card base using dimensional foam tape.

MFT July Release Countdown – Day 4

Welcome to the My Favorite Things July Release Countdown Day 4.
NewReleaseCountdown_Day4My cards today I am featuring the Happy Birthday Centerpieces Die-namics, Beary Special Birthday stamp set & Die-namics, and Pop-Up Elements Die-namics.
YoonsunHur-201607-MFTRC-DAY4-A001For my first card, I used the Happy Birthday Centerpieces Die-namics as my main supply. This die is quite large so we can quickly and easily make a gorgeous birthday card with it!! I die cut a piece of heavy white card stock using the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics first. I then die cut the Happy Birthday Centerpieces from the panel. Next, I positioned the Big Balloons Stencil over the die cut panel in place, and then inked balloons with soft pastel colours of hybrid ink using sponge daubers: Pink Lemonade(pink), Banana Split(yellow), Sno Cone(blue), Peach Bellini(coral), Spearmint(green), and Wild Wisteria(purple). I mounted the panel on an A2 sized Kraft card base using dimensional foam tape, then embellished with stars.

YoonsunHur-201607-MFTRC-DAY4-B001For my second card, I used the Beary Special Birthday stamp set & Die-namics, and Pop-Up Elements Die-namics. I just randomly stamped the images from the Beary Special Birthday set on an A2 sized white paper panel in Gravel Gray hybrid ink, then mounted it on white card base using double-sided tape. I added the Copic coloured small gift boxes & cone hat on the centre of the card front using dimensional foam tape. On the front of the card is so simple because there are something fun inside the card :D

I prepared a base for the pop up card using the Pop-Up Elements Narrow Die-namics and added Copic coloured birthday bears using double-sided tape, then stamped the sentiments from the Beary Special Birthday set on the card base in Black Licorice hybrid ink. I’ve never done a pop up card before but I think my first attempt was successful. It was SUPER fun to make it!

MFT July Release Countdown – Day 5

NewReleaseCountdown_Day5My cards today, I am featuring the Celebrate with Cake stamp set & Die-namics, Birthday Speech Bubbles stamp set, Big Birthday Sentiments stamp set, and Big Birthday Balloons Die-namics.
YoonsunHur-201607-MFTRC-DAY5-A001For my first card, I used the Celebrate with Cake & Birthday Speech Bubbles stamp sets. First, I stamped the images, to make three-tier cake, from the Celebrate with Cake set on heavy white card stock using several colours of hybrid ink: Latte, Summer Splash, Sour Apple, Pineapple, Grape Jelly, and Red Hot. I then die cut them with the Celebrate with Cake Die-namics. Next, I die cut a piece of white card stock using the scallop rectangle panel die in the Blueprints 27 Die-namics, and then stamped the speech bubbles from the Birthday Speech Bubbles set on it with Gravel Gray hybrid ink. I mounted all elements as shown to an A2 sized white card base using dimensional foam tape, then embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.

I ink blended the balloon die cuts with rainbow colours using mini ink blending tool – Festive Berries, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, and Seedless Preserves Distress inks. Next, I stamped the stuffed bear from the Beary Special Birthday set on watercolour paper in Black Licorice hybrid ink, coloured it with Peerless watercolors, then die cut it with the Beary Special Birthday Die-namics. For the background, I stamped the Scattered Surface Background on an A2 sized white paper panel with Gravel Gray hybrid ink. For the sentiment, I heat embossed it, Big Birthday Sentiments stamp set, on black card stock in white. Finally, I mounted all elements as shown to an A2 sized white card base using dimensional foam tape, then embellished with a few PPP clear sequins.
